Combine all this with our dedicated staff wh
➕➖✖➗As part of our middle school math curriculum, students work in small collaborative groups to explore math concepts. Students work together as a team tapping into one another's lived experiences and strengths as individuals and as learners.
🤓To start the year off, students worked in groups on a thinking task. Afterward, we debriefed about what makes a productive group and how we can foster these collaborative practices in our math classroom.
👀Look at their focus and determination!
🦋Due to the generosity of an amazing Annunciation Alum, we were able to continue a 5th grade tradition today with our butterfly release.
🙏Many thanks to this donor for this gift to our students. They loved every minute of it!
☀️Our preschool students have been having a fantastic first week of school making news friends! We are excited to now have 3 classrooms available for our youngest learners.

🎉Our middle school took some time on Monday to hold our "House Ceremony". All 6th graders and students new to the middle school were "sorted" into one of four houses.
✝️The houses are based on the four Marian Apparitions: Our Lady of Good Help, Our Lady of Lourdes, Our Lady of Fatima, Our Lady of Guadalupe.
🤝These houses gather together throughout the school year to have fun together, do service, and build community in middle school. Each house is made up of 6th, 7th, and 8th graders.
🌞It was a very warm but very fun first day of school!
🍧With the help of lots of water, popsicles and the use of our air conditioned spaces, we made it through with lots of smiles.

🎉Thank you to Phoenix School Counseling for all of your support through this amazing program.
With school out, it’s time to relax and unwind! Students and teachers, parents and principals all can benefit from time spent away from school. 🌅
Mental health and wellness has become more important than ever in recent years, and its connection to physical wellness becomes more apparent as we examine our own and loved ones’ lives more closely. 👨👩👧👦
In partnership with Twin Cities-based Phoenix School Counseling, CSCOE sponsors the Peace of Mind program, which provides an array of mental health and wellness resources to Minnesota’s preschool-8th grade Catholic schools. These resources include live webinars by licensed psychologists for parents and educators, on-site professional school counselors, one-on-one consultations for school leaders and teachers, a customized mental health and wellness curriculum for all grade levels, and more. ✨
We love to help school communities get bigger and better – and more healthy! There is no substitute for God’s help in our lives, but all of us can act as his hands to help others be happier. 💙💚

🏆As part of the Centennial Picnic last evening, we awarded our Mary Jo Sterner Volunteers of the Year and Dominican Awards.
The Mary Jo Sterner Volunteer of the Year Award: In 2005, Annunciation School established this award in memory of Mary Jo Sterner, Class of 1949. Mary Jo, a life-long Annunciation parishioner and extraordinary volunteer, served as the school's first alumni coordinator. Her children and grandchildren graduated from Annunciation.
The Dominican Award: This award is for Annunciation graduates who demonstrate gospel values in their life's work, be it at home, in the community or in the workplace. The award is named for the Dominican Sisters of Sinsinawa, the first teachers at Annunciation when it opened in 1923.
⭐️Congratulations to Jenny Kearny and Malia Kimbrell who were awarded the Mary Jo Sterner Awards.
⭐️Congratulations to Alumni: Beth Sable-Class of 1991, Leah Kaiser-Class of 1983, Darby Voeks-Class of 2009 and Fr. Kevin Kenny-Class of 1974.
