July is recognized as Disability Awareness Month, a time to promote understanding, celebrate diversity, and highlight the achievements of individuals with disabilities. Please take this opportunity to learn about the importance of listening to the lived experiences and needs of our disabled siblings.

Many of us were taught from a young age that care, softness, and healing were for other people, and we needed to just make it work. Teen TIGERRS went on an OUTing today to the Twin Cities Film Fest . We went to see the fabulous Free Cece Documentary by director Jac Gates and executive producer Laverne Cox . And also the movie Witch from Oxford Comma Film Cooperative and director Vanessa Magowan Horrocks .

Our youth and facilitators Steph and Ben even got to walk a red carpet and get their picture taken together. The last picture is from another trans teen program we did that CeCe McDonald came to. We screened her documentary and she spoke with the youth. Beautiful community!
