Hello, I’m Karlie Joy!

It’s been a while since I’ve done one of these and I’ve noticed a few new faces around here — so fun!

First off, thank you all so much for supporting my creative works and quirks.

A few fun facts about me:

- I have the spunkiest 1 year old boy, Henning, who loves keeping me on my toes. He’s a constant source of love, giggles and inspiration. 👦🏼

- I grew up in Duluth, MN/Superior, WI next to lady Lake Superior — my work is heavily influenced by her northern shores and organic nature. 🌲

- Painting is my first love and favorite medium. Thrifting is probably my second. 🎨

- Spent lotsa years in school (like, too many) for a BFA in graphic design and MFA in graphic design… probably why I love painting 🤷🏼‍♀️

- I hop around projects a lot and am very disorganized with many things but always seem to get my s**t together in the end. Zoloft and Wellbutrin help with that, haha. 💊

Lots of birds around these parts lately and they’re all so beautifully unique. The mallards have been occupying the lake and their greens and blues glisten in the sun.
