Last weekend, we were so greateful to open and close "One Log Bridge" at the New Hazlett Theater with the best and most wonderful team we could have asked for, thanks to the CSA program! This production was the first full-scale play of the story we've written; complete with actors, a live band, a set, lights, and a beautiful company and cast and group of crews! Every day, this story takes more form, and we hope to keep building upon what this community found with our show. We hope you enjoyed the music and the story! To be continued...

Tonight One-Log Bridge by Yan Pang opens at the New Hazlett Theater. We are so thankful for our cast and crew for making this production come to life in Pittsburgh.

This new opera theatre work is about the immigrant experience in the U.S. One-Log Bridge uses the beauty of voice to explore the social complexities inherent of notions of resilience, race, solidarity, immigration, and settlement changes.

Some updates from the past couple weeks: We've began rehearsing with our musicians! And last Wednesday we had a stage design meeting as well as a script read through with the cast.

When I said, "I'm on the School of Music magazine," at the One-Log Bridge dramaturg presentation, I wasn't joking...

We are coming onto week 5 of rehearsals for One-Log Bridge. With a little over a month until the show opens at the New Hazlett Theater.

These photos were taken by our photographer, Cora Reddinger, at the October 17th dance rehearsal. The cast was rehearsing "Hey Watsup" and "Chicken Feet" that day.

Cool Math for Hot Music (by Guerino Mazzola, Maria Mannone, and Yan Pang) now has a Chinese translation!

Can’t believe we’re already going onto week 3 of One-Log Bridge rehearsals with the cast! These pictures are from week 1, which started at the beginning of the month. We will be meeting Tuesdays through Thursdays for the rest of October for music and dance rehearsals.
