Four pups left this morning to a rescue partner and are being transported by our friend Cynthia with Paws Fur Help, Inc. 🙌 We wish them a safe trip!

🚨We are still in need of fosters and supplies for our onsite dogs and cats. Our Mission campus has flooded in the past and we are expected to get a lot of rain as Tropical Storm Alberto approaches. We humbly request fosters to take pets in for the duration of the storm to help minimize the number of animals onsite in the case of an evacuation.

River is an adorable male with a severe eye injury that needs. He needs to have surgery to remove his eye in order to begin his road to recovery. The vet bill is expected to be about $800. We humbly request your assistance in paying for this River's surgery.

Registration for our low-cost vaccine clinic on June 29th is now open. Reserve your spot now for your pets' vaccines and monthly preventatives.

✅All registered pets will receive their vaccines and preventatives.
❗️Only vaccines will be available for walk-ins and will be first come, first serve.

⚠️All animals must be in the cabin of the vehicle. It is too hot to keep the pets in the bed of the trucks and vaccines will not be administered if the pet is not inside the vehicle.

Please do not bring your pet to the RGV Humane Society. We do not provide pet-sitting services, rather, we provide public health services and only receive animals through the City of Mission, TX - Government Animal Welfare Officers.

REMINDER: The shelter is no place for your pet! Your pet is your family member, so make plans for their care while you are gone. Hire a pet sitter or book reservations with a boarding service, ask a neighbor for assistance, stay at pet-friendly hotels... Just like you plan for your vacation, make plans for your pet; so they are safe, well and excited to see you when you return!
