Location: Speer Memorial Library from 8 a.m. - 1 p.m.
You must live within the Mission City limits and bring proof of residency. Please bring your ID or utility bill.
*Shovels, bags, and sand are available.

The Mission Historical Museum finishes its last arts and crafts event of July, detailing Mission icons with colorful markers. Thank you to all the children, parents, and families who came together this month to participate in our community as the summer season comes to a close. 🌞🏫🖌

Mission Mayor Norie Gonzalez Garza and the Mission EDC welcomed Governor Ricardo Gallardo Cardona of San Luis Potosí to Mission to explore trade opportunities and tour the Anzalduas International Bridge, along with McAllen Mayor Javier Villalobos, which is currently being expanded for commercial use. This expansion will enable San Luis Potosí, a powerhouse in Mexico’s automotive sector, to utilize the bridge, greatly benefiting Mission, McAllen and the entire region.


This visit stems from Mayor Norie Gonzalez Garza’s visit to San Luis Potosí on June 13, 2024, where she, along with San Luis Potosí Interim Mayor Alexandra Daniela Cid González and Economic Development Director Jaime Chalita Zarur, signed a historic bilateral trade accord. This partnership marks a significant step forward in fostering collaboration and growth, providing immense benefits to the City of Mission by enhancing trade and economic opportunities.
