💕Please join us in welcoming our newest member of the teaching team at UCCC Preschool…Renae Hill will lead the Monkey Class this coming Fall and we are all so excited! 🐵Renae has a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from the University of Washington and has been an active part of UCCC Preschool since 2016, as a substitute teacher, Board Member, and parent volunteer. Following her time spent working in the mental health field, Renae has worked closely with early childhood and elementary school professionals to navigate the unique educational and social/emotional needs of her own children. She is looking forward to bringing her understanding and passion for establishing a strong mind-body connection through the use of sensory play, movement, and early literacy to her own classroom. Welcome, Renae! 🙌🏻💕

🪱Recently, all 4 of our preschool classes have had the joyful opportunity to work with Megan Thornton, a UCC staff member and UCCC preschool alumni parent, on learning how to compost with red wiggler worms! 🪱 We read a great book called Compost Stew, learned what we can and can not put in the bin, held and explored the worms and asked lots of great questions. We loved every second and look forward to working together on these green efforts ♻️ 🪱🤍.

The Ladybug Class wrapped up their Transportation unit with a visit from a concrete pump truck this morning! We love when parents are able to share their work with us and give the students an awesome real-world experience to what they’ve been learning! Thanks, Missoula Valley Concrete Pumping! 🦺🏗️👷

As we’re sure you know, our kiddos have been busy crafting, creating, and exploring… and now we are in need of some more supplies to keep the fun going! Could you please help us gather some supplies for our classrooms?

The teachers have helped us put together a list of some of the common items that are running low or they will need for upcoming projects. Most are simple things you can grab on your next grocery store run, or may already have at home!
