We are deeply saddened to share the news of the passing of our dear friend and former colleague, Daniel. Daniel was an integral part of our team, serving as the loan closet manager from 2017 to 2019. Before that, Daniel worked here from 2014 to 2016 under a program through AARP that helped individuals over 55 gain workforce training. Daniel’s dedication and cheerful spirit will be greatly missed by everyone who had the pleasure of working with him. Our thoughts and condolences go out to his family and all who knew him.

As you may have seen, our building is for sale. In fact, all three buildings adjacent to the parking lot are for sale. We are not closing and do not have immediate plans to relocate. We are hopeful that the new owner, whoever that may end up being, invites us to stay on. Our hope is that they understand and appreciate our value to the community and allow us to continue our vital services in this location. If you know someone who likes to invest in commercial real estate, please share this post (and our mission) with them.

We hope you have a great Holiday!

We've recently received a Safe Sleeper Bed via donation. It is designed to create a secure sleeping environment for individuals with special needs. This bed is the size of a twin hospital bed and features removable side rails to address concerns related to falls. The rails can also be easily lowered for accessibility and convenience. Like a hospital bed, a motorized unit can raise and lower both the head and foot of the bed. It also comes with removable side padding to protect in case of thrashing or seizure.

Because this is an unusual and specialized piece of equipment, we wanted to make the public aware that it is available to be borrowed with a deposit or doctor’s prescription.
