Got a little too busy having fun at the Whidbey show to keep up with a daily update! Turned out to be a great show weekend and all horses (including Keshia with Knight) qualified for championships in the one weekend, yay! Sunday wrapped up with all three boys I rode winning their classes even tho they were all pretty tired. Otto earns most improved for the weekend and getting braver each ride for me, so proud of him! Big thank you goes to wonderful owners who have trusted me to bring these boys along from the beginning ❤️ feeling blessed ❤️

First show day in the books yesterday at Whidbey Equestrian Center and weather could not have been ordered any better!! Bracken was the pro making his first attempt at 2nd level for a 69% and a win. Otto and Obie had wins too but not in their classes 😉 both had some overwhelm moments/bloopers but super happy they got more rideable as the tests went on! Big potential for both boys. This is Obie’s very first recognized show and only Otto’s third show ever. Looking forward to day two today!

Last day of May gifted us with some sunshine! I’m looking forward to more outdoor rides ☀️ now if only the sunshine could stick around! 🙏🏼

Go Knight go! If there is an award for horse with the biggest heart and try then it goes to Knight ❤️ He might not be Valegro but I love working with horses that have so much willingness. You can learn so much with them and have so much fun! Your horse doesn’t have to be the perfect dressage specimen to enjoy this sport, heck most of us don’t have an Olympic caliber horse in our barn 😉 but we can all aim to ride with that much feel and precision no matter what level we’re at.

We made the move! DuoStar is now all moved into Magnolia Ridge Stables. Big thank you to Jill and Marco for welcoming us in and working with the chaos of moving in a large group at once! Excited to continue to get settled in and organized with the brand new lockers, yay!

🌟 Exciting News! 🌟 DuoStar Dressage LLC (Lauren Henderson) will be relocating to the Magnolia Ridge Stables in Monroe, WA on March 1st!! This beautiful facility offers a huge indoor and outdoor arena with many amenities and quality horse care. This move will allow me to step away from wearing two hats of barn manager and dressage trainer so I can solely focus on teaching and training. I will have availability for lessons (haul-ins welcome), clinics, and a few training spots. Regular clinics also hosted at Magnolia Ridge plus there is a resident Eventing training and eventing field for cross training opportunities! There are also some boarding opportunities available at Magnolia Ridge Stables for April. ☺️

For the past 7 years I have been incredibly blessed to be based at Dutch Hill Farm in Snohomish. ❤️ I cannot thank Barb Shaub and her daughter McCall enough for their vision in getting the farm and making it such a wonderful facility and home to our horses. Countless fantastic memories to treasure! Change is hard, but I’m excited for the new chapters in front of us as I move to a new facility and make new friends while Barb will get to enjoy her new dream home in Spokane. ❤️

We did it! We finally got out to a show!! A schooling show at Donida Farms was a positive experience for all. Can’t wait for the upcoming show season with such a wonderful group of people from DuoStar.

It’s arena refresh day! Re-leveling the existing footing and adding an inch of TravelBright. Yay! Should be able to ride tomorrow once they finish getting it all worked in and level. 🤩

Foggy/smokey mornings are the barn. So thankful that all we have to complain about is the smoke and don’t have to worry about actually evacuating due to fires! Wishing the best for all those greatly affected by the fires 🙏🏼 🤍
