An amazing day for a reunion of old friends, meeting of new friends, and hopefully some moments of much needed healing.

Academy, wing honor 1st Lt. Joseph D. Helton's sacrifice Academy and base leaders dedicated the 1st Lt. Joseph D. Helton Jr. Large Vehicle Inspection Facility in a ceremony.

If you would like to attend the Building Dedication to 1st Lt. Joseph Helton at the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) and have not already received an invitation, Please click on the link below to RSVP.

While an RSVP is NOT required to attend, the 10th SFS kindly requests that those who would like to be present at the dedication (reception to follow) please RSVP with your name and number of guests. This will enable the 10th to make necessary preparations to better accommodate us. The Large Vehicle Inspection site building is located at and before the entrance to the Academy. While entrance to the Academy is not required, space for attendees and parking does need to be considered, as well as refreshments for the reception.

To anyone who would like to go but has not yet received an invitation for the dedication of the Large Vehicle Inspection Site at USAFA South Gate to Lt. Helton on May 10 from 1-3pm, please PM or email ([email protected]). For some reason, not all e-mails I submitted received the Invite. An iInvitation is not required, but USAFA would like to have a head count. Look forward to seeing anyone who can make it! (guests are welcomed!)

The Large Vehicle Inspection Station at USAF Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado, is set to be dedicated (named) in memory of Joseph Helton on May 10 of this year. Please PM me if you'd like an invitation (If I have not contacted you already) with your name and e-mail which I will put on the list to be forwarded to USAFA.

Remembering a Metro Atlanta Fallen Hero: 1st Lt. Joseph D. Helton, Jr. The Lt. Helton Memorial Foundation honors the legacy of 1st Lt. Joseph D. Helton, Jr., who was killed in Iraq in 2009.
