Not only can natural scenery reduce stress, improve mood, and foster a greater sense of well-being, but the great outdoors is a wonderful place to implement your home practice! Here are examples of ways to do so:

- A scavenger hunt to find items with a target speech sound (e.g., /b/: bird, ball, bubble)
- Water play: fill a couple bowls and cups with water and bring toys in too! You can target adjectives (wet, cold, warm, dry)

True story: In May, one of our amazing clinicians worked with a child using the parent coaching model right at Disneyland! Before going on a ride, they reviewed a FLIP strategy to create a language-enhancing experience. The parent implemented the strategy on the ride, with the therapist still on the phone to observe. They wrapped up with a discussion and debrief after the ride.
