Got to meet new friends and introduce them to Han Solo Run club, Club float. Anyone and everyone that I met or saw again I hope you realized again or saw for the first time how much I love this community and each and every one of you who are apart of it! Some people often think, How does he have all this energy! It’s cause it’s not mines to keep. When we leave each other I hope you take some of that energy and give it back to your community because we need to celebrate each other more and more! The world needs it!

A little over a year into the run industry and we’re about to turn it up a notch. Blessed to have accepted the role of Asst. Manager of Brand Marketing with ASICS. If you’re now running you’re CHEERING..

Thought to myself what would I want to see on the course if I were running. All I could think about was the common question before the big day.. “How you feel about the race?”

It’s a constant back and forth of being confident in the work you’ve done leading up to the big day.

And there the “Tap 4 Confidence Boost” sign was born.

This weekend in philly for the marathon was amazing. Congrats to all the finishers this weekend. And remember be confident, you deserve to reach your goals. Keep working!

The marathon doesn’t always go as you’d hope. That is the beauty of running such a distance like the great 26.2 (marathon). You train for 14-20 weeks, day in and day out, for one day. One day to shine but it isn’t the day that matters. It’s all the people you’ve run with, all the training mentally and physically over that time, the things you eat, the amount of progress you make over the training block and so much more. All those thing compounded through devotion and commitment to oneself get to be showcased in front of peers, strangers and new friends alike.

Last Sunday everything came together and a lot of great things happened.

🍻I had a PR in the half (1:28)
🍻I made it through 23.5 miles before things took a turn (happened @ 17 in Boston)
🍻I PR’d
🍻I met a lot of great individuals that uplifted me as I was not feeling amazing after the race.

I’m grateful to walk out of another marathon with a PR. And to grow community.

P.S. It’s okay to be disappointed with your performance. Just don’t let it define you. Keep working hard and all things come together for Good in the end.

Looking forward to the next go round. Sub 3 is still the goal

5000m felt like an eternity. 12.5 laps around Cardozo HS track, 19:23. No PR but the chance to set a foundation was just as fun. The & twilight 5000 was one for the books. DC showed out. Back at it for round 2 in August. Hope to see everyone back and a bunch of PRs hit!

At this point we are beyond excited to get out there and share some miles with the crew.

On of the biggest hindrances on people getting starting in their movement journey or running consistently are shoes. That’s why we are giving away some shoes.

Right now we have 3 pairs (2 woman/1 man)

Not a Sub-3 but this 3:21:18 is special for a few reasons:
* this is 50 minute PR from my very first marathon in 2018 @ NYC Marathon
* With cramps introducing themselves late in the race I was able to run the whole way.
* I have already began taking the lessons from the training block and ready to improve for in October.
* I will sub-3 in
