Starting tomorrow, we will be undergoing a software change at the clinic. Although this isn’t ideal, we’re hoping that this new software will allow us to more accurately, effectively and efficiently serve all of you!

Please bare with us and be patient with us as we make this transition. We will do our best to make sure that things flow smoothly, but we know there will likely be hiccups along the way.

We ask that you be understanding and kind with all of the TLVS staff over the coming weeks as we get up and running with our new software program!

Thank you all for your patience and understanding! We appreciate you, our clients, more thank you know!

Great news folks!

Our clinic has been certified an official “Santa’s E.L.V.E.S.” (Emergency Landing and Veterinary Expert System) location.

In the event that Santa’s reindeer team needs to make an unscheduled Christmas Eve stop for sled repairs, refueling, or veterinary care, staff at this clinic will be available to provide needed assistance and ensure a safe and on-time delivery of Santa’s cargo.

Developing Story: A "Mystery" Respiratory Illness in Dogs 11/30/2023

♦️♦️Important information♦️♦️
We’ve had some folks ask us about this new respiratory disease in dogs. This article (written by one of Dr. Sullivan’s veterinary professors) has some fantastic information on what we know and don’t know about this disease. A few points we want to make as well..

♦️To date, there have been NO known cases of this emerging disease in Kentucky
♦️Veterinary laboratories in Kentucky are actively screening for this disease
♦️This disease is highly contagious between dogs, but very rarely fatal
♦️This disease cannot be transmitted to humans or other animals

We at TLVS will stay vigilant to watch for signs of this disease! As always, if you are concerned about your pets’ health or have any questions, feel free to give us a call!

🦮🐾Interest post!🐾🦮
Where are my hunters at?

Dr. Sullivan has always had a soft spot for hunting and working dogs. Also, being the wife of an avid hunter, Dr. Sullivan knows the injuries and illnesses that hunting dogs can encounter while hunting. She also knows that when hunting, it’s not always easy or possible to get these dogs to a vet to be seen quickly. So this brought about the idea for “The Hunting Dog Box”.

The Hunting Dog Box would be a toolbox type container, stuffed with all the things you may need while out hunting if your dog were to get hurt or sick. Specifically designed by a vet who owns hunting dogs. Like a first aid kit for our canine friends. The kit would contain many valuable items that would buy some time and possibly save your pets life when a veterinarian is not immediately available.

Of course this would work for pet owners who don’t use their pets for hunting. And of course for all the other working dogs out there too.

If this is something you would be interested in purchasing.. hunting dog or not.. drop a comment below!

Enjoy a clip of Dr. Sullivan’s Labrador “Tuff” hunting pheasants in South Dakota for attention.
