🎵 Join us this Thursday, May 16th, at 6:00 PM for our End of the Year Band Concert at the CSHS Gym! 🎶 This is a concert you won't want to miss! Our Winter Drumline and Guard will dazzle you with an encore of their Medal-Winning Shows, and our Concert Ensembles will perform pieces by Sheldon, Erickson, Wilds, Nelson, Sousa, and David Maslanka's "Short Symphony for Wind Ensemble: Give Us This Day". Admission is $5.00 and can be purchased at the door. Let's celebrate the hard work of all our students this year! We hope to see you there! 🎺🥁🎉

⭐️🎶Congratulations to our Canyon Springs Wind Ensemble on earning a Superior Rating at the Woodbridge HS SCSBOA Regional Festival and a Superior Rating in Sight Reading! Our students had a beautiful and energetic performance on stage and had fun throughout the sight reading process. Great job Cougars on a job well done! 🎉👏

Ensembles are eligible to participate in a Regional Festival after earning a Superior rating at a District Festival. This was the first Regional the Wind Ensemble has elected to participate in and was also the first sight reading festival done since 2018!

Thank you for guiding students as they make beautiful music together - from pep bands & marching bands, to concert bands, jazz bands, chamber ensembles, and many other groups.

Congratulations to our Winter Drumline at their first competition of the season! They placed 1st with a 70.05 in their Division! The weather held off for their performance with sunny skies today. Congratulations to our students and a great start to their season! Let’s Go Cougars!

Last night we had our Fundraiser Gala to support our Band and Choir students to go to Washington, DC for the National Memorial Day Parade and Choral Festival. Thank you to our VAPA Coordinator Renee Rojanaroj and Principal Mr. Roberson for all of their work in putting the event together, the Moreno Valley Education Foundation for their partnership to supporting our students, and our School District for rallying together and taking care of all of the logistics! It was great to see our Interim Superintendent Dr. Verdi, and School Board Members in attendance. As well as our Moreno Valley Mayor Ulises Cabrera and Riverside County Supervisor Yxstian Gutierrez. I know there a lot more people to thank but again a huge thank you to everyone involved and all of our donors for their generosity. It truly was a community event to support our students. Our kids had fun and wowed the audience with Holst’s Second Suite and Hazo’s Arabesque. Having the event at the March Field Air Museum was a beautiful and fitting venue as our students will be honoring our US Armed Forces. We are truly grateful to have our community support this opportunity for our students!

Congratulations to 15 of our Canyon Springs HS students selected for the California Baptist University High School Honor Band, led by Dr. Robert Frelly! The students had a valuable experience with two rehearsal days on the CBU Campus, collaborating with faculty and music students, culminating in tonight's concert. Let’s Go Cougars!

Congratulations to Senior Shayna Ashley for being accepted into the 2024 SCSBOA All-Southern HS Wind Ensemble! We are so proud! Way to represent Canyon Springs HS and the Moreno Valley Unified School District! Concert takes place at the Hyatt Regency Garden Grove in the Grand Ballroom on Sunday, January 28th, at 11:15 AM.

Rain or Shine, nothing stops our kids for volunteering their talents at the Rancho Bellagio Post Acute nursing home this afternoon! Today, the Rancho Bellagio Post Acute held their “Adopt A Grandparent” event where members of the community dropped off gifts for the residents. Our students volunteered to play Christmas Carols throughout the drive-thru event!

Last Friday our Cougar Canyon Regiment had the magical opportunity of performing down Main Street for the Disneyland Parade for the first time! Our Cougars sounded and looked great! Way to go Canyon!
