Morganton cantina serving up tacos, burgers in former Wisteria building The Reptile Cantina opened on East Meeting Street in Morganton about a month ago, offering an assortment of food and drink options.

He’s back in the states! Wednesday June 19th.

Despite the threat of rain keeping things relatively calm, our team was still busy this Memorial Day weekend with two search and rescues and one water rescue.

At South Mountain State Park, a hiker fortunately walked out on their own and declined EMS assistance. A second search on the Fonta Flora Trail for a group of overdue teens who also managed to find their way out safely.

We also responded to a water rescue at the John’s River Access, where a caller passed by and thought they saw a car in the river. Thankfully, it turned out to be someone just taking their boat out.

In addition to these incidents, we responded to 24 First Responder calls within Morganton city limits.

A huge thank you to all our dedicated volunteers who consistently answer the call for help. Your commitment is invaluable!
