2023 Summer Program Symposium at Marshall University
I really loved being a part of this program! Going into it, I was scared and didn’t have much experience in a lab setting. My mentor and her graduate students did an amazing job helping me feel more comfortable in the lab! They were very patient with me and explained things (like why we’re using a certain technique and what’s happening) in a way that was easy for me to understand. I was excited about going into the lab no matter what we were doing that day! I’m now more confident in my lab abilities and feel more comfortable working independently. I’m also certain that this is what I want to do as a future career.
