"Our new Division 1 Head Coach, Tyler Kutek, had the pleasure of meeting Afghanistan war veteran Patrick Mcllvain at his annual golf outing for the Pat Mac Fund supporting war veterans.

Pat, who was attacked in Kherwar, Afghanistan around 6:30a.m., suffered a gunshot wound to the head and miraculously survived.

Pat is a big hockey fan, so it was awesome to be able to give him some WVU Hockey apparel to represent. It was also wonderful to hear some of Pat’s hockey stories from when he used to play.

It’s not every day you get to meet a true hero!

Thank you for your service, Pat!"

We are excited to announce our HOCKEY CAMP dates of August 26th and 27th. The rink will be open and ready to host our TWO day camp. I know there has been all kinds of speculation on the rink status. You will notice our website is on a new platform so bear with us as we build up content. Looking forward to seeing everyone back on the ice!!

We regret to inform our Alumni of the passing of Dr Roger Toffle this past week. Roger was a WVU Hockey Hall of Fame member who spent countless hours helping the program in many capacities as D2 mens coach and helping jump start the women's team many years ago. When the women made a comeback to the ice 4 years ago he was there to help again. I was fortunate to talk to Roger a couple weeks ago to update him on the program for this season as well as plans for the future. For the many kids he worked with in Morgantown in youth, college and internationally we will miss seeing him at the rink in his retro white WVU jersey on game day! Services will be held Sunday March 16th at 3pm.

Mackey saves the day Friday in double OT 2-1 nail biter and Knarr shuts the door Saturday and Sunday with a pair of shutouts to capture the ACCHL playoff championship 5-0 today.
