Our next meeting is Tuesday, May 28th from 6:00-7:00pm in Meeting Room B. We are reading Jimmy Buffett's autobiography, "A Pirate Looks at Fifty." You don't need to be a Parrothead to appreciate this title. It's a direct look into Jimmy's one-of-a-kind life and worldview presented in the only way Jimmy can — chilled out, happy, and with a song in his heart! Perhaps we'll find out whether he ever found his lost shaker of salt...
Cheeseburgers in paradise would be tough refreshments to provide, but we can promise tasty snacks and great discussion over this unique book penned by one of America's most iconic musicians! Bound copies of the book will be available at the second floor reference desk.
Make books come alive with us at our Beyond the Book night on Wednesday, May 15th from 6:00-7:00pm! Tweens ages 10-12 are invited to join us as we explore the "I Survived" series. Make shark pendant necklaces, try to build a structure that will survive a jello earthquake, make a snow cone, and create a tornado in a bottle! Don't worry if you haven't read any of the series; you will get the opportunity to take a copy of one of the books home with you.
Did you know that the Morgantown Public Library is a pick-up location for Grow This: West Virginia Garden Challenge from the WVU Extension? Stop by the first floor of the library to pick up your free pumpkin seeds!
