Special thanks to Terri Gentry, volunteer at the Black American West Museum, for the wonderful walking tour of historic Five Points. There was such a rich musical and cultural history there and it was great to get a better understanding.

The excellent documentary, ‘The Longest Walk’, directed by Vohn Regensburger, is available to stream on Amazon Prime, Tubi and a number of other streaming services. It’s the story of the life and career of inductee Charles Burrell, the ‘Jackie Robinson of classical music’. It’s the very interesting story of a Colorado music legend.
