It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of our esteemed founder, John Kapas, at the age of 85. A titan in the realms of restaurants and real estate, John's strong spirit and business acumen charted the course for J.C. Kapas from its inception 60 years ago to the thriving enterprise it is today.

John's dedication to his work was unparalleled, a testament to a life well-lived, passionately engaged with the intricacies of the industries he loved. In business, if there were 10 ways to make a transaction work, he knew 15. He was a problem solver and worked in creative ways to make sure buyers and sellers both got what they needed and created successful solutions. His contributions went beyond business; he was a pillar of strength and generosity to his family, especially evident in the unwavering support for his daughter during her courageous battle with cancer. Once he set a goal, there was no distracting him from achieving that goal and creating new ones. He lived his life well, traveled extensively, and lived a full life for which we are grateful. We strive to continue his legacy and live up to his high standard.

John’s passing leaves a void in our hearts, but his legacy will continue to inspire and guide us.
