We have had a busy weekend!!!!!!

Farrier for the mules/horses/donkey, and vet for the pigs!!!!!!!!

A special HUGE THANK YOU to our amazing farrier S23 Farrier Service Bobby. We have been working very hard with blossom since her intake in March for her to trust us enough to pick up her back feet. It’s hard to believe that when we first got her, we couldn’t even go past her shoulder without her swinging her butt at us trying to kick. For the first time since having her, she was trusting enough to let the farrier trim up all 4 of her feet! Bobby is amazing and we are so lucky to have him around, he is patient, and understanding. GO TEAM!!!!!

***AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION***

Red the mini mule joined Mules N More Rescue and Rehab when his owner was placed in a dementia care facility. He is estimated to be around 13 years old. He can be a spicy red head, but loves having someone to give him attention and work his brain. He loves cookies, and runs to the gate calling every time we show up to the barn. Red is close to the top of the pecking order when with other horses, but also is receptive to learning boundaries set by his pasture mates. He is going to make someone a special little project pony!! He needs an adopter that will continue to work with him on basic ground manners, standing for the farrier and vet, and breaking him under saddle as he is not broke to ride.

Read more about Red to see if he would make a good addition to your home and apply for him on our website below!!

Tonight’s spotlight is on Red. He is really coming around behaviorally since being with us about a month now. Tonight was the first night he approached me on his own asking for pets and some love. 💕 🥹 isn’t he cute!?

07/11/2024

Thank you to everyone who supports us and makes our mission possible 💕

Photos from Mules 'N More Rescue and Rehab's post 07/09/2024

Things are in full swing here this morning! We hit everyone with a double whammy and had both the farrier and the vet out.

Red is estimated to be around 13 years old, his castration site is healing nicely, he has no oral issues, he received his vaccines, his feet are getting back on track, and he should be ready for adoption in the next week or 2.

Simon is estimated to be around 10 years old. He has an infection from his castration site and will be on antibiotics for 2 weeks, he had no oral issues, received all of his vaccines, got his feet cleaned up, and once his infection is gone he will go up for adoption in a few weeks!!

Blossom still isn’t ready to play with the vet yet, she has a SERIOUS needle phobia, but she did get her front feet trimmed and even Benji got a pedicure and got caught up on his vaccines.

We always have an ongoing vet bill at Tennessee Equine North in Gallatin TN. If you would like to donate towards medical care, you can call them directly at (615) 452-7789. Our account name is Mules N More in Mount Juliet TN.

A HUGE thank you as always to our amazing and patient farrier and Veterinarian, Bobby and Megan!!!!!!
