- I would rather cry when a cat goes to its furever home than cry because it died alone outside waiting for someone to help.-

We know it can be difficult to say goodbye to your foster when they get adopted, but don't let the worry of "I would be too sad when they get adopted" or "I would get too attached", stop you from fostering.

All of our rescues are fostered in loving homes to help them adjust to a normal home life. They are handled daily and given lots of love and companionship. Generally, we like to put animals in foster homes with other pets and children to try to ensure they are comfortable in many environments and homes. 🫶

Sadly, we unknowingly got involved in a colony that’s struggling. No food, no shelter. Kittens. Pregnant moms. I’ve counted 17 so far😩

I’m doing my best to go daily which, there is no time for working full time , running a rescue, fosters, socializing and already having an overflowing cup…. But I can’t turn a blind eye…. Can’t leave them with nothing. Has it been cold? Hellll yes. I think I’m now getting sick from sitting all week in the bitter cold but imagine how the 1 lb babies feel !!!

I don’t prefer to send them back to nothing, but I am not sure I have a choice. They need to be assessed and ideally placed where they can be cared for. We need feral boxes to give them a place to decompress while i try to trap the rest of the colony and get a plan for shelter and long term care. You were all so wonderful with the kitten traps yesterday we have 3 on the way!!! I’ve ordered just a couple feral dens (we need about 10 but they are $$$) and a couple other items we need to trap responsibly and efficiently. The total was $500. I bought myself heated gloves and jacket bc quite frankly, baby it’s cold outside!!!!!

Any help is much appreciate my friends!!
