The PTA organizes community events and fundraisers to support activities for M***a Loma students, teachers and staff. All fundraising is done through fun events, meant to bring the community together while raising money. The Computer Engineers of the Next Generation (CENG) Team is hosting 3 sessions of weeklong online coding classes in June and July 2024 from 4:15 to 5:45 pm PST. Your child can learn Scratch, JavaScript, Python, Web Design, and Roblox.
Tailored for 3rd to 8th-grade students, these classes cater to beginners, intermediates, and advanced learners. Led by proficient high school students, participants will delve into the fundamentals of coding, culminating in a final game project.

Last week the K-2 SEI class took a field trip to the Palo Alto Children’s Museum and Zoo. The class got to explore, play, and see some animals up close. Trips like this happen because of your donations to the PTA. Thank you!

Bonchon is our last restaurant fundraiser of the year!
Mark your calendars for a dinner out on Tuesday, April 23 from 5 - 9pm. They are offering 20% of the proceeds to the PTA.
The PTA will receive proceeds from orders made 1) dine-in, 2) to-go and 3) pick up w/payment at counter (called in store to order). Not valid with third party services (DoorDash, UberEats, etc.).
A flyer will need to be attached to your order so remember to bring your flyer or mini flyers will be available at the register to give to the cashier.

Thank you for making the Walkathon a success! A little rain didn't stop us from walking and raising an amazing $20,740! This amount will go back to the students and school through funding trips, assemblies, teaching supplies, books, and more! Thank you to everyone who walked, donated, baked, volunteered and showed up despite the rain! We did it!

Rain or shine, come enjoy delicious food, socialize with other school families, and help cheer on the kids as they walk with friends to win prizes. Our raffle is full of great prizes that anyone can win. And an added bonus – kids who make their top lap target will win a sweet M***a Loma medal!
In the event of heavy rain, kids will walk a path along the school eaves for rain protection. Food and prizes will be moved into the MUR.

Funds raised by the PTA go back to the students in the form of field trips (Hiller Aviation Museum, Palo Alto Baylands, for example), assemblies, school supplies, library books, and more. This year M***a Loma is outfitting a new Maker Space for students to get creative, thanks to a grant acquired by the PTA.

The Walkathon is happening March 29th!

This is our biggest annual event where we celebrate fitness, fun, and community while raising money for PTA funded school programs, field trips, and supplies. At this event students walk laps around the field during and after school, all while earning prizes along the way. Families and neighbors are welcome to come socialize and cheer on the kids!
Students have the option to collect pledges ahead of the event from friends and family – either in person or online via 99Pledges. Please remember to set up your student’s 99Pledges page today.

The Computer Engineers of the Next Generation (CENG) Team is offering a new session of coding classes from March to April 2024 on Wednesdays or Saturdays from 4:15 - 5:45 pm in Scratch, JavaScript, Python, and Roblox (Saturday only). These classes are catered to 3rd to 8th-grade students with beginning, intermediate, and advanced levels for each language. All the online coding classes are taught by trained high school students. Students will learn the basics of coding which culminate in a final game project.

Today our first graders went to The Tech Interactive. They enjoyed hands-on activities and a robotics lab where they debugged robots to get them to light up! They couldn't have gone on this trip without your PTA membership and donations. Thank you!

Starting tomorrow Monday November 13th and through Friday November 17th your M***a Loma PTA will be holding its annual food drive benefiting Hope’s Corner and Life Moves in Mountain View. Please drop off your non-perishable food items in the blue bin located in front of the MUR during school hours. For a list of acceptable food items please review the flyer posted in the comments. Last year your PTA was able to donate 577 food items and with your continued support we hope to exceed that amount.

The M***a Loma PTA is holding its annual clothing drive. Starting today, Monday November 6th - Friday November 10th. We are asking for donations of any new or gently used winter items. For a list of requested items or examples of what to donate please refer to the flyer posted in the comments. Please drop off all clothing donations in the bins located in the front of the MUR during school hours.
