Well said
From the mills of Northwest Indiana to the fields on the Ohio River, labor built the middle class, and built our great state. On this Labor Day, and everyday, we thank the Hoosier worker, and we will never stop fighting to give every Hoosier the chance to join a union and earn the fair wages and benefits their families deserve. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
The Braun-Beckwith for Governor duo recently released their property tax plans, which shifts the tax burden to local governments to make up the lost revenue - DEFUNDING LOCAL POLICE & EMERGENCY SERVICES!
Property tax relief doesn't have to mean cutting budgets for public safety, yet that's exactly what the Braun-Beckwith duo have decided they want to do.
But MADVoters-Verified Jennifer McCormick for Governor has developed a pragmatic, thoughtful tax plan that has been analyzed by the Legislative Services Agency and is informed by existing Statehouse property tax proposals.
The McCormick-Goodin plan allows taxpayers to deduct more of their property taxes from their income taxes, rather than cutting local budgets. This will shift the revenue change to the state - which currently has billions of dollars in surplus money. Plus, their plan caps property tax growth for all individual taxpayers, not just a few.
All Hoosiers want to live in safe, thriving communities Defunding the police with the Braun-Beckwith tax plan threatens our communities, our safety, and our overall long-term growth as a state.
The Braun-Beckwith for Governor tax plan would shift the tax burden in part to our rural communities, greatly increasing property taxes for farmers.

My union friends please understand that Donald Trump is not your friend. He is a union buster and has no problem taking away your rights to collective bargain.
The United Auto Workers union on Tuesday filed federal labor charges against former President Donald Trump and Tesla CEO Elon Musk for threatening to intimidate workers who go on strike.
During Trump’s interview on X Monday night with Musk, who is also the principle owner of the social media platform, the pair discussed a potential role for Musk in Trump’s administration should he get reelected. Trump called Musk “the cutter,” and praised Musk for his anti-union stances.
“I look at what you do, you walk in and you just say, ‘You want to quit?’ They go on strike – I won’t mention the name of the company – but they go on strike, and you say, ‘That’s okay, you’re all gone. You’re all gone. Every one of you is gone,” Trump said.
I will be hosting a Mental Health Roundtable on Wednesday, August 28th, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Munster Town Hall.
Featuring Keynote Speaker LT. Governor Suzanne Crouch. With Special Guests from the Indiana Counseling Association, Griffith P.D. Social Services Division, and Regional Mental Health Center.
Mental health resources are desperately needed in our state. This roundtable will provide a space for open dialogue on how our state can better serve the needs of our community.
Munster kids go back to school today! Demmy was excited to check out all the hubbub over at Elliott Elementary!
Don't know Demmy? He's the Munster Dem's mascot, and you can follow his comings and goings around town and the rest of the region over on his Instagram account!
Enough is enough! It's time we elect an Attorney General who cares about everyday Hoosiers and not lining his own pockets.
Vote Destiny Wells for Indiana AG!
Vote Jennifer McCormick and Destiny Wells this November to save our children's education.
Extremely proud of my representative Mike Andrade for Indiana State Representative - District 12 and School Town of Munster Superintendent Bret Heller who have expressed concerns with the new high school graduation requirements being proposed in the state of Indiana.
These new requirements will not meet the criteria to attend public colleges and will drive businesses away from Indiana. It's time we stop going backwards and move forward. Let's go Hoosiers, get out and vote!
This is why flat taxes are not equal. This policy would bankrupt the state. Vote McCormick!
Vote Jennifer McCormick for Governor
A Braun-Beckwith administration would be a disaster for renters. His property tax proposal could shift much of the state tax burden to rental properties and small businesses, driving up rents for Hoosiers.
It doesn't matter whether you are a Democrat or Republican, this should scare everyone. Democracy is on the ballot! Vote!!!!
I'm proud to be a Democrat whose party diversity brings new and fresh ideas, and is going to lead us to several victories up and down the ballot this November. The other side has nothing and has to resort to misogyny and racism.
Vote for these strong and highly qualified women!
Kamala Harris, President of the United States
Jennifer McCormick Governor for Indiana
Destiny Wells, Indiana Attorney General
Valerie McCray, Indiana US Senator
Meet MAGA minion JD Vance.
To chicane or not to chicane, that is the question. We will talk about public safety measures in town, our fantastic state slate for Democrats, and more!
Drinks with Dems will be held this Thursday 7/18 at 7pm at Cheers on 45th.
Last month's turnout was great!
Senator Qaddoura is fantastic and has the lives of everyday Hoosiers on his mind. I highly recommend listening to this panel discussion Tuesday.
Meet the panelists for Tuesday's Healthcare Affordability and Accessibility Panel panel! Dr. Fady for Indiana Qaddoura is the current State Senator serving District 30, which includes the neighborhoods of Castleton, Meridian Hills, and Augusta in Indianapolis. Senator Qaddoura is a fierce advocate for transparency and accountability in government, and we look forward to his insight on how state policies affect healthcare in Indiana for Tuesday's panel.

It seems a member of our town council does not believe in the law of the land despite being a lawyer himself. Countless lawsuits by right wing groups and Donald Trump himself were all dropped or dismissed due to our secure and fair elections. I find it interesting he posts this now when there was a resolution passed this past Monday to keep him in check because of his own abuse of power.
In the same Wikipedia article it states the following
In the 2020s, the flag was flown at events attended by various far-right groups including a Christian nationalist strand of Donald Trump's "Stop the Steal" movement.[19][20]
In May 2024, news outlets reported that the flag had been flown at the vacation home of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito in 2023. This drew media attention because of the flag's use by "Stop the Steal" supporters.[19][21][22] The justice stated that his wife had displayed the flag, referred to the historic background of the symbol, and refused to recuse himself from cases related to former President Trump.[23]
