Upcoming immunization clinics and reminders for the 2024-2025 school year:
DHEC is offering three more clinics through July for students in grades 5K-12 to receive vaccines that are needed to attend school.

Call SC DHEC at 1-855-472-3432 to schedule a vaccination appointment or schedule an appointment with your child's healthcare provider to avoid the back-to-school rush if your child needs a well-visit or vaccine ahead of the upcoming school year.

In case you missed it last week! We are excited students will receive FREE breakfast and lunch for the 2024-25 school year!

All HCS students will receive free breakfast and lunch during the 2024-2025 school year as part of the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) program.

The Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) is a non-pricing meal service option for qualifying schools and school districts. CEP allows breakfast and lunch to be offered to all enrolled students at no cost. Schools and school districts that qualify are reimbursed for meals using a formula based on the percentage of students that are categorically eligible for free meals based on their participation in other State assistance programs.

In an effort to further enhance our safety measures, HCS will be requiring clear backpacks for all students (who choose to carry backpacks) for the 2024-2025 school year.
Clear backpacks have become a common practice in schools across the country as they allow for easy identification of any items being brought onto campus. By implementing this protocol, we are taking proactive steps to create a safe and secure learning environment for our students.

We had the opportunity to congratulate another school, Seaside Elementary, and its faculty team for a great job! We would like to thank Big Air for creating the Big Give Back Program for school teachers and faculty. This year has been a huge success and we are already looking forward to next year!

Yesterday at our Faculty/Staff luncheon these three ladies were recognized for their true service and dedication to schools and our children for a countless number of years. Mrs. Ruby, Ms. Darlene, and Mrs. Carter- from the Stingray family to you, we can’t begin to tell you thank you enough for your love and hard work over the years. You will be deeply missed by the Seaside Family but, we are SO excited for you as you enter a new chapter: RETIREMENT!💙👏🏻🥳

Yesterday we recognized Mrs. McMeins, Mrs. Kramer, Ms. Cline, and Mrs. Baut as they are leaving us and won’t be back next year. We wish them all the best in what the future holds for each of them! 💙
