Established in 1988 by Peter and Lisa Heck, Breezewood Farm offers affordable horse boarding with individualized care, and riding/horse management lessons. It is located on over 80 acres along the east shore of Big Muskego Lake. The facility includes indoor and outdoor arenas, private wooded trails, 50 ft. round pen, pastures, and group or individual turn out. The main barn features professionally matted stalls, box fans for each stall, a wash stall with hot/cold water, tack room, lounge, and an attached indoor arena….Lessons are available for adults and children ages 5 years old and up. Riding lessons are taught in the safe environment of an indoor arena, on seasoned school horses. The instructor has over 30 years of teaching experience, and a solid background of training including the British Horse Society's "Horsemasters" (B.H.S.A.I) Course. In 2006, she was presented with the North American Horsemen's Association's "Horsewoman of Distinction" award. No prior riding experience is needed to participate in lessons. For adults and older children, we also offer "Horse Management" lessons, which teach, among other things, the basics of how to halter, lead, groom, saddle, and bridle the horse. Lessons are available seven days a week, all year long, and there is no minimum amount of lessons you need to purchase.
