I love my new photo (can't you tell?) by and reproduced on metal by . The vineyard is in Knights Valley. It's looking down towards Marin and The City. It has been up for two weeks and quickly settling in. My work production is down though. Can't stop admiring it. 🥸

Three cheers for winemaker passion projects! Robin Akhurst delivered cases of his Library Collection Mendo Pinot Noir and Napa Cabernet last week. Tasty, honest and affordable, these wines are everything I like to represent in Outer Space.
Robin's day jobs include winemaker at Clos Pegase, Swanson and Paula Kornell. He makes wines under his own labels Apsara and Library Collection for creative and altruistic reasons. If I could bottle Robin's productivity and efficiency I could sell it for more than any bottle of Napa Cab!

Buddy ol' pal .mw shared with me a bottle of Vinhas do Lasso "Garrafeira" Tinto 2011. WOW is this good. Primary fruit takes a back seat to the complexities of bottle bouquet and the tannins melt away. I just got it in and pouring it at the wine bar for anyone who asks all week. Great start to 2024 in Outer Space. The boys cracked open this Collosorbo. Wound up so splashed it i to the decanter. Ruby grapefruit, red cherry, bay leaf, to***co. Racy and athletic. Begs for a truffle-y cheese.

Once in a blue moon i post a wine and food shot. Tonight's is worth sharing. A 2014 Arnot Roberts Trout Gulch Chardonnay. This electric Chardonnay with runway model body is rockin it. Damn tasty with my Christmas Eve fish stew. Duncan of Arnot Roberts gifted me the bottle recently. Happy I found the perfect time, meal and people to enjoy it with.
