Here’s a Punch down” I made specially for Bob Levy the winemaker for “Harlan wines” one of the most prestigious of wines in Napa back in 99’ when I was working on Harlan west winery. It’s made of French oak and used to manually push the grapes down that float to top. Cheers!

Howdy folks, it’s been a while. Here’s a recent project of a hutch. Designed and handcrafted by Philip Snyder of PS Woodworking. All made from scratch(solid lumber and plywood/panels)except for the crown molding between my corbels.

Here’s a project for a yountville home from decade + ago in Mahogany. Designed, handcrafted and installed by PSW. Finishing/sealing by others.

Here’s a paint grade entry door with upper panels that will be screened.
Raised and fielded exterior side lower panels with flat recessed panels with c**k bead detail for inside facing.
Construction is blind mortise and tenon of which is strongest and I do all my entry doors with this joinery.

Here’s a recent project missing adjustable shelves, hardware, lighting and finished paint. Designed, handcrafted and installed by Philip Snyder. Finished photos coming.

Action photo, what am I up to now?

I have some dear friends/neighbors who over the years had me do a few projects shown in the photos below., (bathroom photos are before and after). They have since moved and recently sold their house in Napa city. They ended up getting almost 200k above the asking price due to the older house having character, they fixed everything up as well as had some nice improvements to the home which not only were they able to enjoy, but also were, (I believe) a big player in getting more $$ for their home then anticipated. Good quality improvements along with classic or good form and style can be something for you to enjoy as well as an investment that grows in value over the years. Choose your woodworker/contractor carefully. Cheers!

Here’s the action photo for the utilitarian side of the built-in. By keeping the aesthetics on the outside and utilitarian inside you save some $, but dont lose any of the function. The right cabinet lower partition and shelves are removable to access portals cut out to service the washer/dryer.
