Inside Out 2 comes to theaters this week. If you don’t know the background, it is based off of a therapeutic modality created by Dick Schwartz called internal family systems (IFS). It helps us understand our emotions, how they express themselves through certain behaviors and that they were created to actually protect us. The work is done to see if those behaviors are currently serving or hurting us.
