We Love Community’s Christmas GitMart!! Today we were able to serve 1146 families who picked out and purchased 10,442 donated toys at a deep discount giving dignity to these families. In so doing these families raised $13,605.00 that is given to their local schools. Thank you so much to our hundreds of amazing volunteers and all who donated toys!

While our 19th Giftmart will look different again this year, we’re excited to announce that we’ll be serving the families of our 10 partner schools in Aurora, Naperville, and Joliet with an in-person, live shopping event on Saturday, December 18. Families will once again see toys on the shelves this year, providing dignity and choice as they support their local community schools through the event proceeds providing funding for library books, computers, and musical instruments.
Our GOAL > $150,000+
Over 3,500 families in neighborhoods most impacted by the pandemic are being invited to participate in Giftmart this year, requiring us to raise in excess of $150,000 to bless them this Christmas. Your generosity is critical to the success of the Giftmart program, especially this year!

We are blessed to be a drop point for Community Christian Church Giftmart. This is our 4th year . Please donate new toys or provide funds for toys , by December 12th.
We can accept unwrapped new toys for elementary age children. Please no stuffed animals or board games.
This will benefit low income families and schools in Aurora Illinois, Joliet Illinois, Naperville Illinois. When you donate you are helping families that otherwise could not afford gifts for their kids.

Our Story of Making Toys Do More!
The first Community Giftmart was held at Brady Elementary School in Aurora, Illinois, a school in a primarily Hispanic neighborhood with a high percentage of students from low-income households. That year parents purchased a total of 1200 toys for $2 each, and that money was given to Brady School to purchase books for the school library. This one event now serves families from four area elementary schools and last year raised over $12,000 for those schools.
The Community Giftmart in Aurora, Illinois has served as a model for similar Giftmart events in the Chicago area and throughout the country. 2008 marked the start of a Giftmart in Joliet, Illinois and many more have followed. Often, churches that have partnered together in one location go on to start Giftmart events of their own.
Community Christian Church has continued to grow its Giftmart impact through the years, and is very excited to be adding a 6th Giftmart in Chicago for 2019! In 2018 they engaged over 1,000 volunteers to operate 5 Giftmart events with more than 11,000 toys that served nearly 1,500 needy families at 10 different schools in Aurora, Joliet and Naperville Illinois. Those events produced nearly $20,000 that was then given back to those schools to purchase much needed supplies.
Business in and around these communities also benefit from Giftmart, through hosting of fundraising events, holding toy drives, and sponsorship opportunities. Financial donations from business partners are also an important source of funding to ensure the ongoing success of the Giftmart model in uniting communities to elevate families and schools in underprivileged neighborhoods. Please contact us if you own, manage, or know of businesses that would like to get involved and help us make a difference.
None of this could be achieved without the generous donations of time, effort, talents and resources from our faith communities and volunteers. We rely heavily on their willingness to give of themselves out of the love in their hearts, and are always looking for others that want to contribute. Join us!
