Reminder: Kingsley Picture Day is Friday, August 30!

Thank you to our parent volunteers who helped out around school last week. We couldn't have done it without you!

Big news! The new Gagaball flooring tiles have been installed at school!

This was truly a team effort - the Kingsley administration proposed the idea to Home & School and suggested that the thick rubber tiles will provide a safer surface to play. Parent Jeff Jones did the research for the purchase. The flooring tiles were paid for by Kingsley Home & School using funds that come directly from our Kingsley families. The installation was then completed by Kingsley's custodial staff. Thank you to everyone for your support of this project!

Welcome to the first day of school! We're ready for a great year!

Save the date for the first general Home and School meeting of the new school year!

Thank you to Home and School for providing these shirts to all kindergarten students! Ms. Propp, one of our fabulous kindergarten teachers, designed the shirts!

As we prepare for the big day, here are the first day of school procedures:

- Kindergarten students will meet outside Door 1, in the front grass area.

- Students in grades 1-5 will arrive at the playground/blacktop and meet their teachers outside at 8:00 a.m. (weather dependent).

- All Kingsley staff will be in BLUE KINGSLEY t-shirts for easy identification.

- Classroom teachers will hold up signs to help students find the correct line. Students will line up and walk with their teacher into the building (all parents will remain outside).

- Additional staff will be outside and at all doors to help.

See you on Thursday morning!

Join us for ice cream at Kingsley! Home & School volunteers will sell Dairy Queen treats outside near the playground immediately following the teacher meet-and-greet on Tuesday, August 13, from 1:45 to 2:30 p.m.

Yearbooks Have Arrived! Pickup on Friday!

Home & School is holding a popsicle party at the playground this Friday for students to pick up their yearbooks, hang out with friends, and sign books. If you pre-ordered a yearbook, it will be ready for you. We have a minimal number of extra copies available for purchase via Omella at the party.
