Congratulations to poomsae team member Elliot, who is now the national champion in the youth yellow belt division! He placed third in the semi final round and then earned the gold medal in the finals! And yes....he earned the cowboy hat!!!! Well done Elliot!!!

The day is done for Elite! Sparring team member Hailey competed in the world class black belt cadet division today. She sparred really well but lost her first match. No matter the result, we are always proud of our sparring team members! Demo team member Ridwaan competed in the youth red belt board breaking division. He broke all of his boards and tied with the first place winner. He lost the tie breaker in presentation by 0.24 points. Well done Ridwaan!

Demo team member Julia is the national champion in board breaking - female black belt division! She broke all of her boards and earned her highest score ever! And yes....she earned the cowboy hat!!! Well done Julia! So proud of you!

The day is done for Elite! Our poomsae team members competed in the cadet blue, red, and yellow belt divisions. Nathan performed really well and just missed out on a medal in the blue belt division. He placed 5th! Great job Nathan! Shaurya earned the bronze medal in the red belt division! The 4 medalists in Shaurya's group were all from Illinois! Ethan is the national champion in the yellow belt division! He ranked 1st at the end of the semi final round and then earned the gold medal in the finals! And yes....Ethan earned the cowboy hat! Unbelievably proud of Elite's poomsae team members!!!!

Today belongs to poomsae team member Ethan, who is now a national champion! He competed in the junior red belt division and earned the gold medal! He also earned his highest scores ever! First place winners also earn the cowboy hat! There are no words to describe how proud we are of Ethan! Well done!

Demo team member Raad competed in board breaking today. He did well and scored 7.27 (better than regionals) but did not earn a medal. Good job Raad! Demo and poomsae team member Neave competed in the under 30 world class black belt poomsae division today. She was eliminated in the first round but earned her first 7.00!!! Yours truly completed a cartwheel on the tournament floor because she earned a 7.00 for the first time ever! You can see it in the scoreboard....Neave was blue. So proud of you Neave!

The day is done for Elite! Sparring team members Gene and Santiago sparred well but lost their first matches. Daniel also sparred well but lost his second match. No matter the results, we are always proud of our students!

The day is done for Elite! Annie and Kaylee sparred well earlier today but both lost their first matches in the junior black belt division. No matter the result, we are so proud of these two young ladies!

Good luck to the members of Elite's demo, poomsae, and sparring teams who will be competing at the USAT National Tournament this week! Just a reminder that there are no classes at Elite for the remainder of this week. Classes resume on Monday, July 8. Best of luck to all competitors!
