Walk-In Hours are Back!!!

Beginning this Tuesday, September 3rd, CHP will have one physician available to see acutely ill, established patients from 8:30am -9:30am, Monday through Friday.

At this time, walk-in hours will ONLY be offered during the school year. Additionally, we will NOT offer walk-in hours on Saturdays, during winter break or spring break.

Patients are seen on a first come, first served basis for the following concerns: sore throat, cold symptoms, ear pain, wheezing, COVID-19 concerns/testing, pink eye, fever for less than 5 days, painful urination/UTI concern, acute injuries, acute abdominal pain, rashes, vomiting/diarrhea.

If your child is having an emergency, please call 911 or bring to the emergency department and do NOT bring them to our office.

The physician will NOT be able to see any NEW patients during walk-in clinic.

The physician will NOT be able to address MULTIPLE separate medical concerns or any CHRONIC issues issues such as chronic abdominal pain, constipation, infant reflux, chronic headache, concussion, anxiety, depression, ADHD, growth/developmental/behavioral concerns, fainting spells, rechecks of any kind, or treat warts.

Patients must arrive prior to 9:30am. Patients who arrive later than 9:30am or have issues that are not acute may leave a message for a nurse to call them for triage or schedule an appointment during our regular business hours. There may also be circumstances where we’ve reached a large capacity prior to 9:30am and have to stop accepting more walk-ins prior to 9:30am in order to be ready to start seeing scheduled patients.

As a reminder, please be aware that masks are required for everyone age 2 and older who is sick with any potentially contagious illness while in the office. We appreciate if caregivers of sick children also wear a mask while in the office even if not feeling sick at that time.

Children’s Health Partners is in search of a Registered Nurse specializing in Pediatrics to join our team and also a Certified Medical Assistant.

Working at CHP requires empathy, discretion, patience, good judgment, flexibility, attention to detail, excellent communication skills and the ability to work with children of all ages and capabilities.

For the Nurse position, a current RN License and CPR certification is required. The ideal candidate will provide compassionate care to pediatric patients in an office setting.

Great All-Staff Meeting at CHP today to discuss ways we can continue to improve patient care as we prepare to move into our new office space this fall. Staff even had the chance to see a 3D design of the new office plan!

Today we wish a heartfelt THANK YOU and CONGRATULATIONS to our office manager, D-Jo, on her last day at CHP as she begins her well-earned retirement!!

D-Jo has been with CHP since she was hired as one of our first front staff workers back in November 2001. She has been a dedicated contributor to the growth and success of CHP over the years as we’ve strived to best serve our patients. In 2013, she took over the reins as our office manager and was instrumental in the huge transition from paper charts to electronic medical records at that time. During COVID, she went above and beyond as we managed through that difficult time, often taking on extra work when we were short on office staff. These last several months, D-Jo has been training our former head nurse, Helen, to take over as office manager, so we will continue to be in very good and capable hands!

We are forever grateful for everything D-Jo has done and will miss her so much! She plans to stay very active in her retirement with hopes to travel more with her husband, spend more time with her growing family, and look for more ways to become involved with animal conservation. We know she will have all kinds of adventures! Please join us in congratulating D-Jo!!

We had the cutest surprise visitor back in the nurse’s station last night! Nurse Andrea and her husband are the proud new parents of their first fur-baby, Fozzie!!

After searching for over a year, we are excited to announce that Children's Health Partners will be moving to a NEW LOCATION this fall!

Changing locations after 20+ years is a big decision that was not taken lightly, but as our practice has grown and healthcare needs are ever-changing, we have become confined and limited in our current space in recent years.

Along with additional exam rooms, our new location will provide our nurses and administrative staff with more space to assist our physicians as we continually strive to provide excellent care in the most efficient way possible.

We are also excited that our new space will be located on the first floor and will have WINDOWS, offering a bright and comfortable place for families to bring their children.

This building is located right along 75th Street in the center of Naperville, between Naperville-Plainfield Road and Book Road, approximately 3 miles north of our current location. It is easily accessible from 75th Street if coming from the east and from Rickert Drive if coming from the west.

Please continue to follow our social media pages for periodic updates as renovations get underway and proceed throughout the next several months. We are aiming to be transferred over to the new space in September 2024 after completing the summer physical season.

At the All Nurse Meeting this week, Nurse Andrea (in the flowers) gifted everyone with a homemade Valentine’s Day headband! Aren’t they so cute?!

We have such a wonderful group of nurses who all love working with each other and providing great care to all of our families! ❤️

Pediatricians were invited to the Edward OB Department Annual Karaoke Party last night and our CHP docs joined in the fun as some “Dancing Queens.”

Awesome hanging out with our OB colleagues! We always appreciate what good care they take of our patients’ mamas!! ❤️

One of the best parts of coming in for your check-up every year is seeing how much taller you’ve gotten. Our office manager’s niece and long-time patient came in for her 12 year old check-up today and was extra excited to be taller than Nurse Helen who’s been helping take care of her at CHP since she was a baby!!

Is your child due for their annual check-up? We have available appointments right now during the winter months and can complete all forms, if needed, for school physicals next fall.

Children’s Health Partners is currently accepting new patients of all ages!

We are a group of pediatrician moms (with 18 kids between us ranging from toddler aged to young adult!) who are committed to taking care of our patients like we would want for our own kids. From birth through adolescence, we love getting to know our patients and being their medical home for all things, including routine well child care, illness visits with our school year walk-in clinic as well as later day appointments, and appointments for academic, behavioral, and mental health concerns.

With the big snowstorm predicted for Friday, January 12th, CHP is currently planning to be open for walk-in sick patients ONLY beginning at 8:30 AM tomorrow morning with one doctor and limited staff working (similar to our typical Saturday mornings). All other appointments for Friday have already been rescheduled.

Depending on the weather and snowfall tomorrow morning, we will determine if it is safe to be open later in the day and will send further updates as needed.

Once the phones are off, there will be a nurse available for the remainder of our regular office hours to respond to questions via the portal and the on-call doctor will be available for urgent medical concerns.

Be safe and hopefully the kids will get some good snow for playing!! ❄️❄️❄️

As a reminder, we will NOT have walk-in hours over winter break from 12/25/23 - 1/5/24. We will be closed on 12/25/23 and 1/1/24 for the Christmas and New Year’s Holidays, respectively. Additionally, we will be closing earlier in the evenings this upcoming Tuesday and Thursday, please see our website for details.
