Bledsoe Bash

🎤 In my 30+ years as a professional vocalist, these have been some of the most important lessons I've had to learn in my time. They're very basic, but they're promising in terms of career-longevity! 🎤

1. Volume doesn't constitute "a better singer".
2. A wider vocal range, though impressive, doesn't necessarily deem you as "more talented".
3. No one is beyond warmups.
4. A beautiful voice without "ever taking voice lessons" is not a bragging right, but often a recipe for vocal disaster because you're possibly singing incorrectly. Bad habits have a way of catching up to us eventually.
5. Let the microphone do its job.
6. Let sound engineers do their jobs.
7. Make certain that your monitor needs are met. A bad monitor mix can lead to future vocal issues because you can't hear yourself.
8. Don't compare your vocals to another vocalist. You're not in competition, you're just different.
9. Just because a vocalist sings one predominant genre of music doesn't mean they can't sing multiple other genres. There are many female rock vocalists that are classically trained.
10. Honing in on your own natural style will take you far.
11. If you can't sing a cover song in its original key, change it. Rarely will your audience notice, but they WILL notice when it's pitchy or when you're straining.
12. You are replaceable, but your professionalism and attitude can keep you in demand!

I believe every musician should have the opportunity and experience to record in a legitimate studio setting... at least once in their life... without going broke.

Just finished up the few meetings we had today.... exciting news on the horizon for our artists and music clients!

Aside from freeing-up business owners to focus on their careers instead of marketing on media, why should one get a social media manager?

😱The personal profile of one of our clients was hacked recently and therefore their business page was compromised before hardly anyone realized it... except us. We were notified as soon as the name was changed and the hacker requested to remove us from the page's access. That's when we took action.

➡️Although our client is still working to regain control of her profile, we were able to keep her page SAFE in OUR (full) control access, preventing any further scams or hacking to take place with HER clients and followers from her page, and replacing the illegitimate "business" photos with her branded content again. The hacker was identified and reported as well.
Unfortunately, the page name was changed before we could stop it but because we're still listed as a role with full access, we are able to appeal it for her while she works to get control of her personal profile again. Even if she has to create a new profile, we'll be here to return her to the helm of her business page when she's up and running again. That's what we do!

Many people permanently LOSE their pages with their profiles when this happens, and any business owner will confirm the hard work that goes into garnering the followers and build of their Facebook Business Pages. We've seen pages with hundreds of thousands lose their control due to a hacking situation.
