Ok folks! We are less than three weeks away from our first Elite 8 event!!! There is still time to join. I wanted to make sure everyone knows that Thursday evening April 25th at the pavilion will be our check in, so be sure to bring your proof of insurance for each boat being used on your team. We will be ready at 5:00PM. Also, please bring your entire team for a jambalaya meal to be provided for you! Food will be ready at 6:00 PM. We look forward to seeing you all there!

Afternoon to all. Hope this finds everyone safe and in a cool place. First and foremost I am a person that will own my mistakes and will humbly apologize for those when I make them. Well, as usual I have and I would like to extend my apologies to Mr Bill Travis and his only help Maxine Trahan. I made a couple of statements based off information that I thought was correct and that information wasn’t. I have known Bill for many years as well as Maxine and think highly of both. They were the only two folks that was still doing their best to keep the ALBC afloat. Let it be known that the financial woes of that organization was in peril long before Bill was asked to try and save it. I made a comment about the previous administration and after visiting with Bill and everything that has happened with the ALBC it was unfair that I used that statement which reflected on Bill and Maxine in any way. Neither of them should have had the burden of that statement on them and for that I apologize. Bill has also in good faith donated the scales and several things we could use to get started in this new venture. The other was the cost of the pavilion at Cypress Bend, after getting to visit with Bill the statement made about the cost of the pavilion was not true as I stated. Please disregard the wrong information that I posted in the past as it ended up being second hand snd for that I apologize for using it. It doesn’t reflect my morals or standards and I should have used better judgement. I appreciate the time Bill has spent explaining things to me so that I get the story straight. It’s critical we run a clean and honest association and I will learn from it. Please accept my apology for this and know that I truly appreciate the fight Bill and Maxine fought for trying to save this thing the last couple of years. Stay cool and tight lines. Items of interest voted in and approved by the officers/board are as follows:

Each club will consist of at least 12 paying members.
Dues per year per member is $40 for adults
Dues per year for high school is $30
Club dues are due no later than March 1st, any clubs submitting after March 1st will be assessed a $100 late fee. No clubs will be admitted after March 31 period.

Ok guys, we had tabbed our tournament to be called the Super Six, that has changed, to increase interest and participation the tournament will now be called The Elite Eight. That’s correct, we are moving to a 8 man team format and back to 12 fish daily. Our first Elite Eight will be held on April 26-27, 2024 (Friday and Saturday) at Cypress Bend. 4 boats, 2 participants per boat. Entry fee will be $400 and big bass will be paid each day. $10 per day to BB, $380 will go to pot plus any and all moneys from memberships not used for expenses. There will be a meal provided on Thursday night and we encourage all to participate. Any door prizes will be drawn at dinner, not on tournament days. April 1st is deadline for entry fees. Any entries received after 4-1 up to 4-15 will assess a $100 late fee. No entries will be accepted after 4-15. On 4-16 we will post how many teams are entered, how many places paid (1 every 5) and the payouts.

We are currently working on bylaws, non profit status and insurance.

Morning to everyone!!! We are currently in the process of finishing up with the establishment of the board. Things are moving along nicely and there seems to be a strong interest so we are excited. Our goal is to run a clean and transparent association, open conversation with access to the FB page and a website. Checkbook will be transparent as well as we will publish any and all expenditures there for you to see. No one is here to profit, all money will be paid out except the things needed to run it like insurance and such. You are welcome to audit the books at any time. Hopefully we will be locking down the place and date of the Super Six tournament of 2024 very soon as well as number of members required per club and dues. Results from The Louisiana Bass Anglers❗️❗️

“The Louisiana Bass Anglers fished their 6th tournament of 2023 out of the Marshfield landing on Lake Fausse Point. It was a brutal day for the most part with high winds and bluebird sky for the 18 boats that showed up.

1st place went to Tony Sinitiere fishing solo with the winning weight of 9.86 lbs and big bass of the tournament that weighed 4.10 lbs. This was his second win in a row. He’s on a roll.

2nd place went to the team of Brad Romero and his dad Brad Sr with the weight of 9.41 lbs.

3rd place went to the husband and wife team of Jerry Marcotte and Chris Marcotte with the weight of 9.06 lbs.

4th place went to Bo Amy also fishing solo with the weight of 8.72 lbs.

Congratulations to all the winners!”
