Who spent several hours today putting a low ball offer together for a client? 🙋🏻‍♀️Who spoke to the client several times, text and emailed to make sure we had everything we needed? 🙋🏻‍♀️I knew it was a low ball offer, he was adamant this is what he is offering…but I did it. I didn’t get paid for anything I did today. I loved every moment helping him, he’s a nice guy…but….I knew it was a low ball offer. But I had to fill out all the docs, get the pre-approval, speak to him several times and get it sent. Not one penny was made today. THIS is what we do…I love helping people…the deal probably won’t happen….but I put in the work and it is what it is. What other industry does this? Good Realtors who love helping people…do this all the time. With NO pay sometimes.

The news outlets are blowing this up more than is needed. Always creating panic and misinformation. As a Realtor, if we continue to do our job and show our worth, this shouldn’t be a problem. The ruling doesn’t say buyers agents do not get paid…read below…just cannot be advertised in the MLS. Commissions have ALWAYS been negotiable AND Buyers Agreements should have ALWAYS been signed when dealing with a buyer. Communication is key, being professional and doing your job….much else shouldn’t change. Show your worth…if someone doesn’t want to use you as their agent, move on. I GET to choose the clients I work for. This ruling very well could cause many agents to leave, which tells me they weren’t communicating with their clients and were not working in the best interest of their clients.

If any of you know organizations or families in need from the fires in the panhandle, please share the way we can help in the comments. I know more than 1 million acres have been burned and it's still not contained. Many people have lost their livestock, had to open the gates and let them run or they have been burned. The people of the panhandle are asking for things to be sent to them, not necessarily just money. Some do not have food or water and have lost everything. I know there are many sites posting links to help, be careful of scammers. This is why I am asking if anyone actually KNOWS anyone or any organization that has been verified, post in the comments.
