This makes me furious. I'm not for defunding the police that would just lead to anarchy - maybe that's the plan. We need good police and they should be appreciated. That said, we should never tolerate tyrants like this. He should be fired on the spot for abusing his badge and disgracing the uniform. It's monsters like this who cause people to lose respect for the police and crazy people to end up shooting good officers. I love good cops and hate bad ones. Why are they bad? I think it's a dangerous mix of ego, poor training, stupidity and even phycopathy in some cases. I am very conservative, but we Republicans need to stop blindly "backing the blue". Instead, we need to hold bad cops accountable as well as those who cover for them. We need transparency, respect for the public, an end to entitled attitudes, another avenue when internal investigations go nowhere and an end to qualified immunity. This must change!
