Bluebird Hill
Original, heirloom quality furniture, and other woodworking projects. Welcome to Bluebird Hill! Thank you for taking time to look around.
I first wanted to say that our name comes from Grandpa Booth. He loved woodworking as well and Bluebird Hill was the name of his shop. This is our way of thanking him for everything he has done for us and taught us. You will forever be missed and in our hearts. Woodworking has always been a hobby of mine and this page is just extending that hobby so I can share it with you. I am currently going to American Woodworking Academy to further my woodworking knowledge. So keep coming back for more!
It's hot out, and with no AC in the garage I only get a few hours each day to work. But I am still at it, reclaimed lumber projects coming soon!
For those of you that said the Wood Fairies were not real, where did this come from, huh? Now for the break down and clean up process. I wonder how many nails are in this?
Sneak peak at a longer term project. Not a Swiss watch, but I still have to take my time. This is made on a scroll saw in Baltic Birch plywood. Like and follow the page for more updates and to see the finished clock.
The vase from yesterday is a little too wet. Time to pack it in some sawdust and let it sit. Have a great weekend everyone. Feel free to like and share to find out how it looks when it's done.
OK. Couldn't wait, turning a Maple log while it is still wet to see how it turns out. Should make a beautiful vase. Let's see what happens.
Cherry, Maple and Sassafras, all waiting to be turned into bowls, tumblers, vases and candlesticks. Just have to wait for 6 months for them to dry. Don't worry, I have other things to do in the mean time.
A beautiful photo of a beautiful pen. The pen is a lever action, bullet tip with Ebiara wood. C**k the lever to begin writing. I'm asking $40 for the pen and if you want the display stand add $15. Perfect gift for the hunter or gun lover in your life.
Thank you Joe for the wonderful pictures. Many more of them coming soon.
Good morning Facebook! I hope you enjoy this Labor Day by not doing anything at all. As for me I will be fine tuning a couple prototypes I made over the weekend. Walnut and Curly Maple spoon and spatula.
Hello everyone! Life has thrown me a few curve balls lately, but I haven't been thrown out yet. Stay tuned for some exciting stuff coming up. Here is a sneak peak at just the bottom of my current project. Imagine what the good side looks like.

Really neat!
LOOK AT WHAT YOU DID! A while back I asked you guys to vote on a project that would enable a buddy of mine to build a wheelchair swing set for his daughter. You voted in force and he won the competition. He used the money to buy the hardware, and yesterday he let me come over and help build the main structure. Check out the video! Crazy Router Lathe Video
Not sure if this guy is a genius, or if he should be committed before he hurts someone.
I call this one "Floating Router". She's ugly but will she ever go! Here is a link to a video showing how I made this crazy rig. http://www.youtube.com/watch...

My new workbench I made at school.
Working in my garage I get a lot of critters that come in to say hello. We name the ones that stay for more than a day but I am getting tired of trying to come up with new names. This is where you come in. This moth came in late last night and is still here and I want you to name it for me. The person whose name is chosen will win a sweet ash pen valued at $20. Comment on this post with a name you like and look at the other names. “Like” as many names as you want. The name with the most likes wins! Contest ends at 10 pm May 13, 2014. See full rules below.
Rules:
1. You must like this PAGE (not just the photo) to have your submitted name and/or vote counted.
2. No cursing or other inappropriate names.
