At Cohen Children's Medical Center, we’re honored to share Reese’s inspiring progress. After her 2021 diagnosis of acute lymphoblastic leukemia, she is now 4 months off treatment and in excellent health! Reese has been thriving all throughout the summer and is back to being a kid again. 💕🎗️

Watching our little ones grow is the best part of our job. 💕 In 2021, Reese was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. After many years of fighting, we are so happy to report that Reese is now 4 months off of treatment and feeling better than ever! 🎉 She has been enjoying every minute of summer vacation and is getting back to what matters most, being a kid.

South Shore was the first in Suffolk County to perform a cardiac ablation on a patient with atrial fibrillation using the new technique of pulsed-field ablation — specifically with the Farawave catheter from Boston Scientific. Nicely done!

Mariela absolutely melts our hearts. 🥰 Diagnosed with B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia at just 6 months old, she began her treatment journey during a family vacation in Spain. After her initial round of chemotherapy there, Mariela came to Cohen Children’s Medical Center.

Despite a few challenges, Mariela’s spirit remains unbroken. She loves music and the color orange—AKA the color for . 🧡 She is always on the move and loves kicking her legs and trying to stand.

While Mariela continues her journey, we are here cheering her on every step of the way! No one fights alone. 💪
