Join us for a ‘second chance’ double feature devoted to two fun films that maybe were just a little too fun for their time.

FEATURE 1: JOE VERSUS THE VOLCANO - Written and directed by John Patrick Shanley this “play on film” is unlike any other movie ever made (according to Roger Ebert). A complete flop in 1989 it proved to be far better than anyone ever knew... and marked the beginning of the Meg Ryan Tom Hanks Two-Some films.
-SPECIALTY DRINK: RUM PUNCH

FEATURE 2: THE HUDSUCKER PROXY - This less-loved Coen Brothers Classic starring Tim Robbins, Jennifer Jason Leigh, and Paul Newman is a real rags-to-riches tale. Though it fizzled out fast it was Dripping in the O’Henry style story of a mailboy who becomes a CEO it’s filled with a buoyant theatricality that is both mythic and mysterious. A Corporate Fairy Tale when before Capitalism got to its less pleasant “late stage.”
-SPECIALTY DRINK: MANHATTAN
