Last night I had the honor of attending the Knights of Columbus Rummel Council 5747 and the Ladies Auxiliary Installation. To my Grand Knight Mr. Cliff and my deputy Grand Knight Mr. Tocky, Caleigh and I are lucky to have the privilege of working along side both of you and we are looking forward to a great year! Congratulations to the new and the outgoing officers. To my Miss Queen, you were surely missed last night but I know that you are out doing amazing things!! 🦞🦞🦞

Get to know the Teen Louisiana Crawfish Festival Queen XIX🦞
My name is Sydney Faucheaux and I am 16 years old. Some hobbies of mine include dancing, acting, and I also like to help out in my community and parish. One thing that I always say is that God’s timing is always right. I have competed three times now and the first two times I felt God tell me “not yet”. A friend told me to compete with her for crawfish, and I was hesitant because of the past “not yet’s” but with some praying and thinking, I realized that this is what God wants me to do. Fast forward to pageant weekend, I was crowned Teen Louisiana Crawfish Festival Queen, along with Caleigh as my Miss Queen, who just so happened to be the friend who asked me to compete with her months prior (and didn’t give up until I said yes). God’s “not yet” is not necessarily a “no” but a “Hold on, I have something better for you” and I am so grateful that I didn’t give up or let myself be discouraged.

I am honored to represent the Knights of Columbus Rummel Council 5747, their Ladies Auxiliary, and the parish of St. Bernard. We want to invite you to come out of your shell and join us as we celebrate 50 years of the Louisiana Crawfish Festival where you’re sure to pass a good time. Today we had a wonderful time celebrating our reign with a few of our rhinestone sisters for our day events! We started the morning off with a tour of St. Bernard where we went down to Delacroix for the annual Seafood Market and then we went to Docville Farm for a tour. We ended the morning off with a delicious lunch sponsored by Todays Ketch. Thank you so much to St. Bernard Tourism and Mrs. Katie Tommaseo for making today so memorable!! As well as we visited the contestants before they went into their interviews!! Stay tuned to see who your new 19&21 Queens are!! 🦞🤍

Yesterday we checked off another last for us as a queen. We headed over to Gonzales for the Jambalaya Festival Queens Day Events. We got to cook our own jambalaya in mini pots where we placed second in the cook off, painted spoons, and got to tour the area where the Jambalaya cook off is held every year with over seventy contestants. This was such a fun last event for us and definitely one for the books. Who will be the next lucky girl to travel this amazing state? Deadline to register is this Wednesday, May 29th! 🦞❤️

This past Saturday night we headed to Plaquemines Parish for the Seafood Festival Sleepover and our last ever pageant as your crawfish queens. We had a fun night with some of our rhinestone sisters and then got some rest for a fun filled day on Sunday. We woke up to a delicious breakfast, got ready and then headed to the pageant. We had to sadly bid farewell to our lovely queens but are so happy to welcome in the new royalty. Congratulations to Brooklyn, Cormille, and Julianna on an amazing reign; we have loved traveling with each of you this past year and will miss seeing y’all on the road. A huge congratulations to the newly crowned queens, Mila, Leila, and Isabella!! Although we won’t be able to travel with yall we can’t wait to see what amazing things you do during your reigns! Here’s to an amazing last visiting queens pageant!! 🦀💙🦞❤️

Yesterday we had the most amazing time at the Crawfish Appreciation Party! This is an annual social held every year to celebrate the success of the year’s festival and to thank everyone that made the festival come to life. We celebrated by having family, friends, the knights and all of the ladies come to together for a good ole crawfish boil. This was such a bittersweet day for us because it was our last social as queens but we are so excited to see who the next lucky queens to be welcomed in to the family will be. 🦞❤️

St. Bernard Parish Day at the Capitol 🦞🦞🦞🦞🦞🦞🦞🦞🦞🦞🦞🦞🦞🦞

St. Bernard Parish Government and community partners hosted the annual St. Bernard day at the Capitol yesterday.
The annual event allows St. Bernard government officials to meet and discuss issues directly impacting St. Bernard Parish with Representatives and Senators from around the state, while showcasing our local seafood and other delicious food.
“This annual event is an effective way for our parish leaders to network and interact with representatives and senators from around the state who set policies that impact our parish.

Yesterday we went on over to Plaquemines Parish for the Seafood Festival Queens Day Events! We started the morning off with painting an oyster shell, ate some delicious food, played a fisherman relay game, announced on stage, and ended the day off with learning how to shuck and oyster! Thank you to Juliana, Cormille, and Brooklyn for the invite we had such an amazing day! We are so sad to be seeing all of you bid farewell in just a few short weeks! 🦞🦪💙

2nd Annual Louisiana Crawfish Festival Ball!

We had such an amazing night celebrating our festival and all of its accomplishments! We were able to dance the night away with friends, family and a few of our rhinestone sisters! Thank you to everyone who made this night such a success and if you missed out this year we would love to see you next year! 🦞❤️

This morning I had the pleasure of judging the first ever Plaquemines Parish Seafood Festival Children’s Pageant! Thank you to the children’s pageant directors for allowing me to come and judge, I had such a fun time and can’t wait to be back to enjoy the festival! Congratulations to all of the new royalty you all looking amazing! 🦞💙

Yesterday we went right down the street to one of our neighboring festivals, The 73rd Tomato Festival! We had an amazing day celebrating the reigning queens as we went to AJ’s Produce to learn all about tomato’s and produce! We played a tomato toss and then were able to introduce ourselves on the festival grounds! We ended the day off with the 72nd Queens Pageant! Congratulations to the newly crowned queens, Cherish, Ella, and Jocelyn! We can’t wait to travel with y’all girls!
