Oh what a night! It was fabulous fun around every corner during Kids Zoo To Do at the Audubon Zoo Friday, April 26, 2024. The Kids Zoo To Do and the adult version held one week later are major fundraising events for Audubon Institute and if you haven't been, plan on it for next year! Tons of hands on activities, animal encounters, great music and food .

Beloved and joyful. What a day, what a love! Kyleah and Eleanor recently married before family and friends at the incomparable Compass Point Events in Algiers Point. Both brides rocked Spring style perfectly and crafted a ceremony that was unique and heartfelt. It was a day filled with a lot of fun. Wishing the couple an amazing future together!

The couple opted for a small private ceremony and celebrated with a party later in the day. Wishing the stunning couple a wonderful bright future filled with fun, love and lots of joy!

Get a head! Students came dressed for success during recent headshots for the Career Management Center of the A.B.Freeman School of Business at Tulane University.

They all asked for you! Persephone's Dragonflies marching krewe outdid themselves this year with their amazing animal oriented theme of "Dragonflies Do The Zoo" ! The group parades each year on the Friday before Mardi Gras and showcases their self designed original bustier creations. The group meets for luncheon festivities, a fashion show and then heads out to parade through the French Quarter. This year the incredible weather drew thousands into the streets as a warm up to the big parade weekend and Mardi Gras Day. I have to say it is probably the most fun a photographer could ever have while working! Proud they selected me as their photographer. It is always a joyous day filled with a lot of laughter!

It was a night for new beginnings with a touching tie to the past at Compass Point Events in Algiers Point Saturday, November 4, 2023 as Stuart Conrad, son of the late Eddie Conrad, founder of Compass Marine, married his amazing lovely bride Lu. The event venue was the site of the former offices and home of Stuart's fathers business headquarters. EPIC WEDDING! The entrance to the couple's first dance included lasers and fog. Compass Point Events outdid themselves on this one! A great evening filled with fun, family and lots of memories. A big shout out to Erin and Amy and their staff who make my job a lot easier!

A wonderful evening event for Clover at Calcasieu! The theme was Harvest Moon Masquerade and it was a lot of fun to see everyone mask while enjoying excellent food and camaraderie.

Local, Louisiana and oh so lovely! The Allstate Sugar Bowl recognized 33 of the state's best athletes, coaches, and teams while also welcoming four new inductees into the Greater New Orleans Sports Hall of Fame during the annual Greater New Orleans Sports Awards Banquet Saturday, August 5, 2023 at the Superdome Club XLIV in New Orleans, Louisiana. A big congratulations to all and wow! to the six $10,000 Women in Sport scholarships that were awarded to outstanding New Orleans female student athletes.

Mark and Nicole celebrated nearly two decades of marriage with a recent vow renewal ceremony in Jackson Square as part of their farewell to New Orleans. Family and friends gathered to send off the couple in style with a brief ceremony and fun second line.

Educare, a national network of schools serving 0-5 year olds that specializes in early care and education, brought their annual meeting to New Orleans last week. Educators, staff members and parents from schools across the United States attended meetings and events. They were given a warm Louisiana welcome by local Educare New Orleans, who hosted a huge party and school open house.

OK I have to confess...I used up all of my prayers for the entire year so the 2023 Zoo To Do would not be rained on. And it was worth it! How much fun! Held at Audubon Zoo each year, the fund raiser is always a great time. Amazing food, wonderful music and a great time!

What can I say about a 100-year-old woman who has a busier social life than anyone I know! Quite a lot actually. To begin with, Irene Burrus has been at just about every public event in Algiers that I have attended in the past three decades. She is a community leader, activist, sharp wit, engaging volunteer and beloved and respected for her contributions improving civic life. A true gem. Recently family members and friends gathered at the auditorium in Federal City to celebrate her century birthday. It really was amazing to take part in this wonderful party and look around the room and see it filled with people of all ages, from all facets of Irene's life.
