With summer reading wrapped up and school visits about to start, it is time to move along the reading rocket. Before I just toss it, are there any families here who would like to have it? It's a great play fort or reading nook. It is also 7 feet high and 2.5 feet in diameter.
(Comment below if interested, if there are multiple interested families, I'll toss all your names in a hat and pull one.)

She's number one! Our first reader to finish the Summer Fun and Reading challenge at Hubbell Library is Courtney French. One book she really enjoyed on her way to 800 minutes of reading was "My Year of Rest and Relaxation" by Ottessa Moshfegh. Currently she is reading "The Guest" by Emma Cline.

It's not too late, you have all the way until July 31st to sign up and read. Then you too can have a cute canvas bag to tote your books around. Happy Reading!

Last night was Hubbell's annual Stuffed Animal Sleepover. 30 lovies of all sizes and types spent the night in the library. They got up to their usual shenanigans- messing around with the photocopier, telling ghost stories, etc. They also participated in the Summer Reading Program (and you can too!) and had an epic dance party complete with lights, a conga line and a VIP area.
Thanks to all our little patrons who entrusted us with their special friends.
