Introducing Alyssia, our Pro Star Student this month! Alyssia is a FIN-tastic student, always ready to tackle any Pro skill and always ready to perfect and improve. Even the more difficult skills like dolphin kicks or breaststroke are easy peasy for Alyssia! She's always ready to try her best and give her all, and that's exactly what we look for in our Pro students! Congrats Alyssia, we are so proud of you!

Congrats Eleanor on being our Junior Star Student this month! Eleanor is known by her instructors as being ready for any swim exercise that is thrown her way. She's always excited to be in the water and enjoys her floating skills. Her favorite floating is skill is her sea otter back float!! Keep making waves Eleanor, we are so proud of you!

Happy Saturday, swimmers! We're splashing into the weekend and ready to relax, have some fun, and reset for the week. 😌 We love using our summer weekends to relax by the poolside, and spend time with family and friends.

How does your family like to spend their summer weekends? 🏖

You might have noticed that we're pretty passionate about celebrating here, and for good reason! 🎉 Ribbons are one of those little ways we like to go Above and Beyond to make our swimmers feel seen and supported.

Whether it's a ribbon for accomplishing a new skill, being a good listener, swimming the length of the pool or following the golden rules - every ribbon is a chance for kiddos to feel recognized, encouraged, and cheered on - and we can't get enough of that! 🤗

Sebastian is our Mini Star Student for June! As you can see, Sebastian is always happy and excited to be in his classes. He enjoys practicing his skills and always has a great time with his instructors and classmates. Sebastian is known for laughing and smiling in every class, and we can't wait to see how far Sebastian goes in his classes! Congrats Sebastian!

Michelle is our employee of the month for June!! She is known for her high spirit, FIN-tastic work ethic, and WOW customer service skills! One of her most notable accomplishments is always making sure the facility is clean, fully stocked with Goldfish goodies, and ready for our amazing members! She enjoys chatting and getting to know our members and helping anyone any way she can. This is exactly why Michelle is our employee of the month! Make sure to give her a fin five next time you see her!

Today is World Oceans Day, a day dedicated to Celebrating ocean life and working to protect our oceans and act sustainably. 🌊 Bubbles has some Fintastic Friends that call the ocean home, and their names are Lulu, Jitt, Freeya, and Sloan.

Let’s take today to celebrate these fishy friends of ours by learning what you can do to help protect our oceans! Share your favorite fishy friend in the comments, and one thing we can all do to help care for our oceans. 💙

At Goldfish Swim School, we say “the proof is in the Progressions” because we know that’s how each individual child is able to truly learn and thrive. 🧡

A progression for some children might look like them feeling scared or anxious their first few swim lessons, but then becoming more comfortable as they continue with their lessons. For other students, it might look like completing a skill unassisted or attempting a skill unassisted. As children begin to make waves in their lessons, they’ll progress through different skill and lesson levels.

The thing to remember is that every single progression matters, and it’s all proof of a kiddo’s learning and growth! 💫

Isabella is our Pro Star Student! Her amazing technique stands out in all of her classes! Her focus and dedication are exactly why she's progressed this far! Being only 6 years old, Isabella has shown incredible skill, talent, and progression, and we at Goldfish congratulate her in her swim journey!

Congrats Vikola! Vikola is our Glider Star Student! His shark swim cap says it all! Vikola is fast, strong, and ready to take on any swimming challenge. We are so proud of the big waves he's making and look forward to seeing all that he accomplishes in our program! Congrats!!

This summer and beyond, we're on a mission to help as many children as possible learn how to swim and become safer when in and around the water. Swim and swim lessons aren't just a fun activity or sport, they're a way to learn critical life-saving skills every child should have. 🧡

Why are the water safety skills we teach during swim lessons so important?

The short answer is that every skill we teach plays a critical role in drowning prevention. 🧡

Practicing these skills every week is key so that these skills become part of children's muscle memory. Depending on the water safety situation they might find themselves in, the goal is that they will instinctively know what to do. This is why repetition and continuation both matter a great deal when it comes to swim lessons for kids! 🐠
