Birth is filling a tub that you don't get to use
Sometimes Life comes at you fast
Happy World Doula Week to all the doulas who identify community needs. The world feels heavy right now, and that might mean families in your immediate community who need support more than ever, families who need alternative packages, families who have reduced income in the time of rising prices.
Every day, we work to increase access to whole person reproductive care.
We also have to remember that doulas are also people supporting their own families with their own needs. Doulas need doulas, too!
I'm happy to work within my own capacity to provide more virtual services to families who want to chat, plan, and everything in between.
I'm also excited to add on Placenta Encapsulation to my list of services. It's your Placenta! Do what you want with it!
Late post but 10/10 seems like a good day to post about a 10/10 birth. It was a pleasure to connect and dance and encourage my client through the birth of a precious little girl who will definitely be enrolled in a sport asap lol
She chose 10/1/23 as her day. Welcome to your world!
I've recently had the pleasure of taking the Integrative Lactation and Feeding Specialist training with . I'd love to share what I learned with all of you! Birth and postpartum clients due during the rest of 2023 can opt in to a lactation consultation, free of charge.
If I can say anything about this, it pushed me in so many ways. I hope the video speaks to you!

Let me reintroduce myself...in business I go by Doula Jamena.
In today's context, a doula is someone who provides continuous support. This support can be emotional, spiritual, physical, mental, literal, virtual, etc etc
In my quest to be "Full Spectrum" I seek knowledge in how I want to provide support to people across the span of life. So far I've learned about birth, the power of intentional touch, movement and meditation through yoga, returning to herbs as medicine, and the energy shift of celebrating in community.
I aim to increase my advocacy so people can feel comfortable and safe to show up as their authentic selves. Especially communities of women, lgbtqia+, s*x workers and bdsm/kink.
I promise to advocate & support within my means and continue my quest for knowledge.

It's !
Breast milk is the best source of nutrition for most babies, providing a variety of vitamins and minerals that help babies grow big and strong! However, most infants are not exclusively breastfeeding or continuing to breastfeed as long as recommended.
How long a mother or birthing person breastfeeds her baby is influenced by a variety factors, but we can all work together to ensure more mothers and babies have access to the resources and support needed to continue breastfeeding.
This month, join us in spreading awareness about the importance of breastfeeding and safe sleep!
Hello all! However you found your way to my page, thank you and I appreciate you. I hope I can provide a Safe/Brave space for you to learn about the journey of birth and if you feel called to work with me, I'm only a message away.
