Coming into this year I told myself "you have permission" to feel through the songs I can't get out of my head. Songs that are on my heart. Here's the first one.

I have been teaching voice for some time, both in group and private settings. During this time I've received so much joy being apart of my students' journey to healthy and improved singing. With Emerging Voices Vocal Studio I will continue to provide vocal services to any budding singer willing to challenge themselves in a fun and invigorating way.

A few weeks ago I was a featured performer in Ifetayo's Zoom Gala as they raised awareness and encouraged our Brooklyn community members to file their census. It's always a great feeling to reconnect and support the people who were apart of my life story.

2014: This isn't a photo of me performing but the photo I used for my second solo concert that I organized outside of school (my first was SR year of High School). I wanted to travel to Siena, Italy to participate in an international summer program during the summer of my sophomore year of college. So, I put on two concerts entitled "Songs to Siena", to raise money for my trip expenses, on in DC and one in NYC. The concerts were a success and my experience abroad was unforgettable.

During my High School through early college years I joined with my amazing cousins to put on an annual gospel concert to our community members. All of the preparation work put into the final productions have greatly contributed my growth as a musician, performer and teacher. Those moments were some of the best in this decade.

2017: In 2017 I performed the scene "Ach ice fuhl's" from W.A. Mozart's Die Zauberflöte again with my Tamino Seokho Park. It's always a pleasure working with Seokho :)

2017: In the spirit of Christmas, I share a picture of Tom and the Tomcats (Tom's studio). This Mid-day performance was so much fun. I truly miss being around such talented people on a daily basis. Merry Christmas everyone!!

2016: My last year at Howard I participated in my first masterclass with George Sherley, the first African-American tenor to perform a leading role at the Metropolitan Opera. It is always an honor to not only meet but to work with some of the amazing people who have paved the way for young singers like myself.

2017: Singing with TCO in their production of La Boheme was so much fun! I of course loved being in costume😊

2018: I had the honor of singing with the Richmond Symphony as they commemorated the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and the civil rights movement. I sang the role of Corretta Scott King in Undine Smith Moore's oratorio, "Scenes From the Life of a Martyr", alongside some amazing singers. It was such an invigorating experience!

2017: My first leading role at Binghamton University in the role of Pamina from Mozarts Die Zauberflöte with Erik Tofte as Papageno and conducted by Maestro Willie A. Waters

Music and the performing arts have been a major part of my life and I LOVE it! As the year and this decade quickly come to a close I have gotten a rush of excitement to check off plans I've longed to realize.
The inauguration of this page is the first of my short list of things to do before the ball drops. So, counting down to the new year here's a glimpse into my journey as a performing artist.
