We host a pediatric clinic every summer with children ranging from infancy to 13 years old. This is part of the course-work for our third year students at SUNY College of Optometry where they can practice eye exam techniques and visual perception testing.

This is a great way for our students to get hands on experience and also young patients to receive a basic screening. These labs are not comprehensive eye exams and should not substitute for one.

Happy National Eyewear Day! There is an importance of bringing awareness to eye health and comprehensive eye exams.

Did you know we have an in-house eyewear center at The University Eye Center?

Did you know on April 8th, 2024 we will experience a total solar eclipse? A total solar eclipse happens when the Moon passes between the Sun and Earth, completely blocking the face of the Sun. The next solar eclipse won't occur again until 2044.

Did you know that looking directly at the sun during a total eclipse can be extremely damaging to your eyes? ☀️ 🌑

Stay tuned as we will be releasing tips from an expert here at The University Eye center on how to properly and safely enjoy this year's lunar eclipse.
