If you cannot get pregnant using your own eggs for in-vitro fertilization, you may want to consider using donor eggs. Donor eggs, and sometimes donor embryos, allow an infertile woman to carry a child and give birth.
We have available donors that are already screened. We provide you with detailed information about the medical history, background, and education of the donor.

Fragmentation, which causes poor-quality embryos, is not unique to in vitro fertilization or IVF. Embryo fragmentation can occur with both natural conception and in the IVF process.
The use of donor eggs is common, especially among women over 40. In the past years, over 42% of all assisted reproduction techniques using fresh donor eggs resulted in a birth.
Women resort to egg donation because their ovaries are not be able to produce a substantial number of viable eggs. They may experience premature ovarian failure and stop producing viable eggs during their reproductive years. Some women may be born without ovaries. Ovaries damaged by chemotherapy or radiotherapy may also no longer produce healthy eggs. Older women with diminished ovarian reserves or older women who are going through menopause could also become pregnant with egg donation. Women who produce healthy eggs may also elect to use a donor egg so they will not pass on genetic diseases.
Improving Poor-grade Embryos
Studies have shown that our Embryoplasty technique in removing fragments results in similar, if not higher, implantation and pregnancy rates compared to embryos that do not have fragmentation when created.
A need for egg donation may arise for a number of reasons. Infertile couples may resort to egg donation when the female partner cannot have genetic children because her own eggs cannot generate a viable pregnancy, or because they could generate a viable pregnancy but the chances are so low that it is not advisable or not financially feasible to do IVF with her own eggs. This situation is often, but not always based on advanced reproductive age. It can also be due to early onset of menopause, which can occur as early as their 20s. In addition, some women are born without ovaries, while some women's reproductive organs have been damaged or surgically removed due to disease or other circumstances.
Another indication would be a genetic disorder on part of the woman that either renders her infertile or would be dangerous for any offspring, problems that can be circumvented by using eggs from another woman.
Many women have none of these issues, but continue to be unsuccessful using their own eggs—in other words, they have undiagnosed infertility—and thus turn to donor eggs or donor embryos.
As stated above, egg donation is also helpful for gay male couples using surrogacy
Poor quality embryos due to fragmentation? Research shows that embryo fragmentation is associated with a range of factors, including inadequate culture conditions, poor quality of the o**m and spermatozoon, increased maternal age, chromosomal abnormalities, abnormal cell cycle, apoptosis, and oxidative stress in embryos.
The presence of fragmentation limits the subsequent development of embryos due to the loss of cytoplasmic mitochondria, mRNA, and regulatory proteins, which are essential for cell division, as well as physical interruption of the gap junctions in blastomeres, which interferes with the cell-cell interactions required for cleavage and compaction.
Cellular fragmentation can induce programmed cell death or apoptosis in blastomeres. These fragments have been shown to secrete harmful substances that adversely affect the surrounding healthy cells, resulting in impaired embryo development, decreased implantation potential and pregnancy rate, and an increased abortion rate.
Furthermore, excessive fragments may induce arrest of embryo development, apoptosis and necrosis of blastomeres, and abnormal embryo development, compaction, and blastocyst formation.
We can help if you are having issues on poor grade of your embryos. Embryoplasty, a procedure unique to and perfected in our laboratory, is a breakthrough technology that helps preserve the viability of your embryos by removing fragments.
It has been suggested that pregnancy rates increase when high-quality embryos displaying no irregular cells and no fragmentation are transferred. It has also been demonstrated that heavily fragmented embryos did not implant. Other investigators have reported that transferring embryos with large fragments led to significantly lower implantation and pregnancy rates than when embryos with minor fragmentation were transferred.
Embryoplasty is a breakthrough technology that helps preserve the viability of your embryos by removing fragments.
When fragmentation occurs during IVF, it threatens the success of the process. It's often seen in older patients and affects embryo quality, implantation, and pregnancy rates.
Embryo fragmentation is relatively common and happens when cells divide unevenly in the embryo. Fragmentation is the result of programmed cell death or apoptosis. The fragments can secrete damaging substances that can spill out onto surrounding healthy cells. These fragments have the potential to infiltrate all the cells in the embryo, resulting in a poor-grade embryo with lower implantation and pregnancy rates.
Embryoplasty is a breakthrough technology that helps preserve the viability of your embryos by removing fragments. This complex and revolutionary technique, developed and perfected at Rockefeller Fertility, is a proven way to improve the quality of the embryos. It increases their ability to divide and improves the chances to develop into a higher quality blastocyst.
Studies have shown that the Embryoplasty technique results in similar implantation and pregnancy rates compared to embryos that do not have fragmentation when created.

Q&A
Failed Cases of IVF Due to Embryo Fragmentation.
Embryo fragmentation is relatively common and happens when cells divide unevenly in the embryo. Think of it like what happens when you tear apart a piece of crusty bread. The tearing process creates crumbs or fragments.
Fragmentation is not unique to in vitro fertilization or IVF. Embryo fragmentation can occur with both natural conception and in the IVF process.
Embryoplasty is a breakthrough technology that helps preserve the viability of your embryos by removing fragments. This revolutionary technique uses custom micro-surgery instruments to remove microscopic fragments and restore and preserve the embryo’s health.
Studies have shown that this Embryoplasty technique results in similar implantation and pregnancy rates compared to embryos that do not have fragmentation when created.
