Today, we remember and honor the legacy of Mike from Mike’s Deli on what would have been his 95th birthday. It has been 5 years since his passing, but his presence is still felt in the neighborhood. Mike was a beloved figure who treated his customers like family, taking great pride in serving each and every one of them.

While Mike may no longer be with us, his spirit lives on through his son David and the rest of the Mike’s Deli family. They are committed to upholding his traditions, maintaining high quality standards, and staying true to old world values that made Mike’s Deli a beloved institution in the community. Through their dedication, Mike’s legacy will continue to thrive for years to come.

It’s Chef David Greco’s 18th year at Hilton Riverfront in New Orleans and they always put on a great show. This traditional dish is made topped with special breadcrumbs to honor Saint Joseph’s sawdust.
