Madrid Italian restaurant recommendation! This was at Bel Mondo which which was a 10/10 experience. The food was amazing, and the restaurant ambiance was so cute and fun. Very reasonably priced too. 🍕🍝😍
These are two of Porto’s national dishes. First is Pasteis de Nata, and the second is the Francesinha. Both were amazing!
📍Porto, Portugal. Went here this weekend with family, and had an amazing trip! Even though it was rainy there were many cute shops, sights, and yummy restaurants. Would definitely recommend as a weekend trip, because two days is all you need to see everything😍
Ten Con Ten is easily one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in Madrid. It is on the pricier side, but definitely worth going once during your trip. The food is incredible and the service is just as amazing.
This is Las Dolores, a super cute local spot for tapas and drinks. The food was soo good definitely recommend stopping in here!!
This weekend we visited Munich, Germany for the last weekend of Springfest! We spent all of Saturday in the Hippodrom tent and it was so much fun— definitely recommend this as a weekend trip during your study abroad!!
While in Tuscany, we went to a wine tasting at a beautiful place near our villa. It was super interesting to hear about the history of the vineyard, and the family who owns it. It was called Tenuta Poggio Torselli— Definitely recommend!🍷🧀
This weekend we visited the famous chocolatería: San Ginés. A must visit in Madrid!
Ten con Ten in Madrid!! This was one of our favorite restaurants we’ve visited in Madrid since being here. The food was amazing!!
Sight/ shopping recommendation in Lisbon. On the street called Avenida Da Liberdade there were street shopping stands set up every day. We went to them all three days and they had the best trinkets, jewelry, and other cool stuff. Definitely recommend checking that out. We also went to the pink street, which was cute but definitely shorter than you would think but still fun to visit!
One of the best meals I have had while abroad. This was at Come Prima in Lisbon! The food was incredible, and the service was even better. The restaurant had such a homey atmosphere, and the waiters cared so much to make the experience as good as possible. Our two favorite dishes were the truffle angel hair pasta, and the margarita pizza!! We wanted to go back a second time on this trip— it was so good. 😋🍕🍝
This weekend we went to Lisbon! We spent the first day walking around, sight seeing, and shopping. It was the most perfect weather, and if you are going to Lisbon definitely wear comfortable walking shoes because there are tons of hills and steep cobblestone!
On our last stop of spring break we stayed in a villa in Tuscany, about 30 minutes outside of Florence! We were able to make a day trip into Florence by taking a bus into the city. Stay tuned to hear about what we did in both Tuscany and Florence!
While in Venice we visited a glass factory and watched a glass blowing show where he made a horse out of glass right in front of us! It was only €5 for the entire show and visit and was one of our favorite things we did in Venice!
Next stop on our spring break: Venice! It was raining the whole time, but it was still an amazing experience. Stay tuned for restaurant and gelato recommendations!! 🍦🍝
Of the towns we visited during the day in Cinque Terre, our favorite was definitely Manarola. The views and buildings were so beautiful and the food was amazing!
Had the best few days in our second destination of spring break: Cinque Terre! One of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen. 😍😍
We had less than 2 days to see everything we wanted to in Prague, so we had to make sure to go in with a plan! Here were the spots we had heard were some must do’s while in Prague! 🇨🇿🇨🇿
During the day we walked around and saw the Prague Astronomical Clock, the Prague Castle, the Old Town of Prague, and made sure to stop at some food stands for Sausages and Chimney Cakes! At night we went to Vzorkovna Dog Bar, which had super fun live music and was unlike any nightlife spot we’d seen before.
Overall amazing start to our spring break!
First stop on our spring break trip: Prague! Had the best weekend there😊
Our favorite part of San Sebastián was the tapas bar crawl we did on Saturday night! 🥟🍤There’s a part of the city that has a few streets with tons of tapas restaurants lined up, and you just go from one to one and try the tapas!😋😋We tried so many new foods and they were amazing, and it was so much fun!🤗
On day 2 in San Sebastián I went for a morning run and this city was the perfect place for it. The scenery and views were so beautiful and I was able to see so much since the city is pretty small! 😍
We spent day 1 in San Sebastián on the beach! Our train ride from Madrid was about 5 hours and was super easy. After checking in at our Airbnb, we picked up snacks and headed to the beach. It was such a perfect and beautiful day and the beach was filled with dogs! 🐶🏝️🩵
When visiting Spain make sure to go to a Soccer game if you’re able! We went to the FC Barcelona game last weekend and it was so much fun!! ⚽️🏟️🇪🇸
Can’t recommend this sandwich spot in Barcelona enough!! It is called Muchacho, and my sandwich was one of the best I’ve ever had. The vibes of the restaurant were amazing, and the service was great as well.😋😋
La Familia Sagrada in Barcelona, Spain. Such an amazing and special experience, and definitely worth paying for tickets to go inside!🇪🇸🇪🇸
This week my study abroad class took us on a walking tour of the Lavapiés neighborhood in Madrid. The area is full of history, activism, and beautiful sights as well— not to mention friendly people. So excited to learn about Lavapiés and spend more time here! 💜💜
Tried Oakberry in Madrid for the first time today! Super yummy acai bowls and smoothies— would definitely recommend!!
When in Madrid, make sure you check out a Flamenco show!! Amazing experience❤️
